Doing the right thing isn’t always the easiest choice, especially when others around you choose shortcuts, compromise or what seems most advantageous.

As followers of Christ, we are called to pursue goodness, integrity and moral excellence in every situation. True character is revealed when we choose what is right even when nobody else does.

Don’t let culture define your standards. Let your identity in Christ guide the way you compete, lead and live.

How does knowing your identity in Christ help you choose goodness?

“And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.” -Hebrews 10:24-25

Friendships can be hard, especially in competitive environments where comparison, pressure and conflict can easily divide a team. But strong teams are built on encouragement, trust and genuine connection.

Hebrews reminds us to “consider one another” and encourage love and good works. A little encouragement, kindness and intentional time together can completely change a team dynamic and strengthen friendships.

Notice people. Encourage your teammates. Build others up. The smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference!

You were made for more!

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine through His power at work in us. In sports, hard work, discipline and coaching help us grow, but God wants to do even greater things through our lives.

He wants to build character, deepen faith and use us for His purpose beyond the game. Don’t limit what God can do in and through you. Keep training. Keep trusting. Keep believing in God for bigger things.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day. We remember. We honor. 🙏

To those who laid down their lives for our freedom—thank you. Your courage inspires us to live with bold faith and deep gratitude.

"No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends." - John 15:13

Athletes improve by following great coaches and practicing consistently. Jesus is the perfect Coach. He showed us how to live by spending time with God, loving others well, serving people, and ultimately giving His life for us. When we stay close to Him, He transforms the way we think, love, and live. Just like athletes don’t skip practice, growing in faith takes intentional time with God through prayer, Scripture, and trusting Him daily.

Jesus already has the perfect game plan — we just have to follow His lead.

"And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:20c

Sometimes athletes can feel alone — before a game, after a tough loss, or even in a crowded locker room. Jesus understands that feeling. He experienced rejection, abandonment, and loneliness, yet He gives us this promise in Matthew 28:20: “I am with you always.”

No matter what season you’re in, you are never abandoned by God. His presence goes with you everywhere — on the field, in the classroom, at home, and in the hard moments no one else sees. And as followers of Jesus, we’re also called to notice others who may feel alone and remind them they matter too.

"I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with my eye on you, I will give counsel. Do not be like a horse or mule, without understanding, that must be controlled with bit and bridle or else it will not come near you." - Psalm 32:8-9

Every game teaches something. Wins can teach confidence, and losses can teach growth, grit, and humility.

But the greatest Teacher is God.

Psalm 32 reminds us that God wants to guide us, teach us, and show us the right path. He doesn’t want us wandering through life without direction — He lovingly leads us when we choose to listen to Him.

God teaches us through His Word, prayer, and everyday moments. The more we trust Him, the more we grow into who He created us to be!

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God's heavenly call in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:13-14

Athletes know the off-season matters. It’s a time to recover, grow stronger, and prepare for what’s ahead. The work done in the off-season shapes what happens during the season. Our faith works the same way.

Time spent with Jesus through prayer, Scripture, and rest strengthens us for everyday life. Growth doesn’t happen overnight — it happens through daily effort and trusting God one step at a time. Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:13-14 to keep pressing forward toward Christ and the life He’s calling us to.

Don’t stop growing in your faith, even in the quiet seasons!
