the 2020 Lewistown Boy Scout Troop 2 Christmas Tree sale has begun!

We're located along Electric Avenue, next to the Lewistown Creamery....we have fresh cut Concolor's, Frasier's, White Pines & Douglas Firs. We also have fresh greens available.

Stop by & pick out your fresh cut tree 🌲
We'll trim it, shake it, wrap it & load it!

Monday-Friday 4pm to 8pm
Saturday 10am to 8pm
Sunday 1pm to 5pm

Bravo Zulu to Captain Jim Perry of the Boy Scout sailing vessel Gypsy Wind. While underway Wednesday 26 June, as a part of the Scouts BSA Sea Base high adventure program, Perry and members of Troop 177 from Glenside PA rescued two people from their capsized 17ft center console vessel. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers arrived on scene and took the owners of the vessel to land. Thank you Scouts for "being ready for any old thing"!

Troop 2 , along with Troop 4 and a couple of cub scouts joined the Elks Lodge #663 in honoring our nation's flag and its history on Friday June 14th - Flag Day🇺🇸 It was an honor & we look forward to participating next year!

Flag Day: An Elks Tradition Patriotism has characterized the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America since the early days of the organization. Allegiance to the flag of our country is a requirement of every member.

In 1907, the BPO Elks Grand Lodge designated by resolution June 14 as Flag Day. The Grand Lodge of the Order adopted mandatory observance of the occasion by every Lodge in 1911, and that requirement continues. The Elks prompted President Woodrow Wilson to recognize the Order's observance of Flag Day for its patriotic expression. But it was not until 1949 when President Harry Truman, himself a member of the Elks, made the proclamation that thereafter June 14 would be a day of national observance for the symbol of our country.
