This past week, 46 students from the 806 up and down the Hwy 385 area came together for camp. And they left changed.

Out of an abundance of caution and due to the high risk of severe weather, all of our leaders have agreed to postpone this afternoon’s service project and tonight’s late night hangout.

The safety of our students is always our top priority.

We’ll be rescheduling very soon stay tuned for the new date!

𝑭𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔: Often, younger generations are less likely to adopt worldviews simply from hearing about them. They need to experience the love, wisdom, and relevance of the Christian faith through relationships.

𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝑨𝒓𝒆: Gen Z is shaped by digital culture, so we need to use technology and social media platforms to engage with them in ways that speak to their lives and challenges. Podcasts, YouTube channels, and social media pages focused on faith can be great tools.

𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔: People of all ages connect with stories. Sharing how the Bible speaks to the real-world issues they face; identity, purpose, mental health, and relationships.

𝑬𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈:: Encouraging them to ask questions and explore their beliefs in a safe, thoughtful environment can help them internalize biblical truths rather than just passively receiving them.

𝑹𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒔: Older generations who live out their faith genuinely can show younger generations the impact of a biblical worldview through their lives.

Just as a body cannot function properly without each part working together, the family of God flourishes when we support and care for one another.

Our goal at Rooted 385 is to fill the gaps in local churches or communities that are missing family ministries, college ministries, Student ministries and kids ministries.
We are committed to helping you and your family grow in your relationship with Christ, strengthening both your personal faith and your connection to the family of believers. Together, we seek to walk out God’s purpose for our lives, supporting one another along the way. As we grow in love and unity, we reflect the heart of God’s family to the world around us.

In this powerful declaration, Joshua makes a bold choice to serve the Lord, despite the surrounding temptations and pressures to follow other gods. His commitment reflects not just a personal decision but a commitment for his entire household. Serving God involves a conscious, deliberate choice to honor Him above all else, and it often requires standing firm in faith, especially when the world offers competing values.
This verse encourages us to make that same decision daily, to commit not only ourselves but also our families and communities to God's service. It is an act of devotion, trust, and obedience to God's will.

Family ministry is the heart of all churches, and Rooted 385 is no different. When God is at the center of everything a family does, they are on the path to true success—spiritually, relationally, and in purpose.

Rooted 385, we want to help families grow together in faith, laying a foundation for lasting unity and God’s blessing.

Happy Thursday! Let Me Introduce You to the Family Behind Rooted 385 Ministries

Hello everyone! I’m Ryan, and I’m so excited to introduce you to the heart and soul of Rooted 385 Ministries—my family. My wife, Baylee, and I are parents to five amazing kids: Damian, Robert, Lincoln, Presley, and Greyson. Life in our household is never dull, and we love every minute of the busy, wonderful chaos that comes with raising a family.

I serve as the Student Pastor at College Ave Baptist in Levelland, while Baylee works as a physical therapist. With all of our kids in school, we’re constantly juggling school events, sports, church activities, and life in general. It’s a lot, but it’s a blessing to be able to do this together.

At Rooted 385, our mission goes beyond supporting students—it’s about supporting families, too. We understand the struggles of balancing life, school, work, and faith, because we’re right there with you. We know that being parents and ministers means we’re called to walk alongside you through all of life’s seasons, both the easy and the tough.

Our goal with Rooted 385 is to build a community where students and parents feel encouraged, supported, and truly connected. It’s all about helping you and your family grow deeper in faith, together.
