Hey Everyone. My dad loved to sit and reminisce. He loved telling stories. We would love to hear your stories about him. There are some freaking great ones I know for a fact. All ya have to do is click the record button and talk. Bring it! I nominate Jimmy Williamson and whoever knows the "now that's a Chevy story" ( maybe Bob VanDeventer or Bob Licitra) http://akidneyforcoach.com/stories-about-coach/

From our mom: My hero, my gentle giant, my teddy bear and the best husband, father and papa went to his Lord and Savior at six am this morning. He went gently, surrounded by his kids, his brother Steve and my brother Steve. Our good friends Barb and Bob, watched over us and took care of us during his stay. It seems somewhat fitting that we started our journey here in Morgantown and here it ended. In lieu of any flowers, please sign up to be an organ donor or better yet be a living kidney donor so people like Scott can live. I love you and I love Scott forever and ever❤️

Scott cardiac arrested when they tried to reintubate him. CPR was performed and they got him back. He is maxed out on ventilator and not oxygenating that well. I had the chaplain come and pray with us. His BP is back up. Please pray for him and for me as difficult decisions may arise. I will not let him suffer. I love you and I love Scott, Scott, Shannon, Lauren, Jake and our grandkids Ireland, Ava, Wyatt and West-they love their Papa so much.

He lasted until now off ventilator. Working too hard so they put him back on. This is normal. They will try again later. While off I said Scott and he said what. He told Shannon to let go of his hand. He also said I want up. He is way confused but these are good signs. He has a very long way to go but as several of you have reminded me-baby steps. Keep those prayers coming and...I love you and I love Scott❤️🙏🙏

From our mom earlier today in case you didn't see her post: Rounds were late today so wanted to wait to post until after I got all the info. Scott is now off the meds that were keeping his BP up and his BP is stable. They will remove old IV lines and put in new because they can be a source of continuing infection. Remains on continuous dialysis and ventilator. Once off sedation they will begin weaning off ventilator. Still concerned about heart some but don't believe will do much at this juncture. Started passive OT/PT. Responded to us by shaking head yes and no. Confused and gets agitated at times but calms down when I talk to him.

Done with procedure for his heart...tolerated well. May be small amount of infection on aortic valve, Dr couldn't tell for sure but valve is working well. They will do cardiac Cath when more stable which should tell us more. Heart function is decreased but may just be from the shock and infection. So this is good news. Also, all his labs have improved including chest X-ray. The last two blood cultures have been negative for infection so drugs are working. They feel he is turning the corner and showing improvement. Praise and thank you God! Thank you all for praying and please continue. I love you and I love Scott

Dad was just getting into tweeting and tweeted this recently. This is him, fighting this infection in the icu right now!...

Just got in to see him. They were able to wean off one of the BP meds, one on very low dose. Less sedated this am, knows us and gets upset when we talk to him so try to let him rest. Remains on ventilator and dialysis. They will check his heart today-please pray that the infection has not affected his valves and heart muscle. Haven't made rounds yet so that is all I know at this point. Please keep lifting him up-he is still in critical condition and needs our prayers. I love you and I love Scott❤️🙏🙏🙏
