Welcome to the Trinity House Community! Our mission is to inspire families to live together with God, making their homes a little taste of heaven to share with others for the renewal of faith and culture. We are a Catholic non-profit ministry with many beloved Protestant and Eastern Orthodox family, friends, collaborators and supporters. We hope you’ll join us on this journey to share heaven with as many people as possible!
What led us to this mission? We noticed that everywhere you look, self-centered, impersonal lifestyles are on the rise, causing profound unhappiness, making the practice of the faith seem irrelevant, and creating a toxic culture. Meanwhile, our own experience is telling us that things don’t have to be this way. So, we want to share the good news with everyone we know!
We started the ministry in 2006, holding events in parishes and growing a community of Christians who want to help renew faith and culture. In 2014, we took our mission into the public square with Trinity House Cafe + Market, our public model of a Christian home, where we work day-by-day to inspire families with our vision. After five years of honing this platform, in 2019 we began making the Trinity House model more widely available through workshops and other tools.
So, how do we make our homes into a little taste of heaven? And by that, we don’t mean material perfection, though a beautiful home certainly helps! Heaven is living with God. So, if we live with God, following his other-centered way of life, our homes will become a little taste of heaven. In a Trinity House, the family is dedicated to living together with God and learning his way of life, a way of life in which we put one another first, not ourselves!
All this may sound theoretical, but fortunately, after many years of marriage, five kids, two theology degrees, and plenty of slip-ups along the way, we have a practical method we’d love to share with you. For starters, families are a communion of persons just like God is, so we are already very close to being able to participate in his happiness!
Please join us and learn a simple method to make your home a little taste of heaven to share with family, friends, and neighbors! What does it mean to join the Trinity House Community? We are an informal community supporting each other to give our families and our culture the gift of life inspired by faith. Joining us means doing as much – or as little! – as you can to advance this mission in your own home or community. You can build your own Trinity House by following the simple steps on our Start with the How-To Checklist page!
Thank you for taking the time to learn about making your home a little taste of heaven to share with others. Please pray for us as we seek to bring this vision to families and a culture in need! We have opportunities for volunteers, whether in the DC metro area or elsewhere, to help us spread the word about our mission, so let us know if you’d like to help out. Also, we would like to invite young adults who would like the opportunity to grow in the faith and help renew the Church and culture to apply for our Trinity House Missionary Program.
If you’re in or near Northern Virginia, feel free to stop by and visit us at our Community home in Leesburg, Trinity House Cafe + Market. And please know that, as a non-profit ministry, we rely on the support of donors like you! Thank you for however you can contribute to helping families make their homes a little taste of heaven to share with others!
To Heaven,
