Local Harmony Recital Series

Local Harmony Recital Series Representatives of the benefiting organization make a short presentation during intermission and a free will offering is taken.

Local Harmony is a new community based ecumenical traveling recital program with the aim of increasing awareness and raising funds for local charitable organizations in Southeastern Connecticut. Founded by Bonnie and Rich Denton, both members of the United States Coast Guard Band, the series is a way for neighbors to help neighbors through the sharing of musical talents. Participating churches act

in concert by hosting recitals and choosing a local organization to benefit based on community need and the wishes of the host church’s mission team. Recitals take place every two to four months, each time at a different local church and performers on the programs are a mix of local professionals, amateurs, educators, and members from the hosting church’s congregation. All concerts are free and open to the public.
