On August 26th, devastating flash floods swept through communities along the Nepal-Tibet border, destroying homes, roads, bridges, and entire communities. Hundreds have lost their lives, and many more are still missing as rescue efforts continue.
We are especially praying for:
• Those who have lost loved ones and are grieving
• Those who are still missing and their families waiting for answers
• Survivors who have lost homes, belongings, and access to basic necessities
• Rescue teams working in dangerous and difficult conditions
• Wisdom and strength for those coordinating relief efforts
As a church, we have the opportunity to pray and respond. We partner with Convoy of Hope, who is urgently responding in Nepal and working with partners on the ground to provide life-giving food and other essential supplies to families affected by the disaster.
Would you take a moment today to stop and pray for the people of Nepal and Tibet? Pray that God would bring comfort to those who are hurting, protection to those still in danger, and hope to communities facing unimaginable loss.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
