Bring your family, invite a friend, or come by yourself. We'd love to meet you.

And if you have any questions before you come, just send us a message. We're happy to help however we can.

Peter’s story reminds us that faith isn’t the absence of fear… it’s choosing to trust Jesus in the middle of it.

From stepping out of the boat, to sinking in doubt, to denying Jesus, Peter’s life shows us that failure doesn’t have the final word. Jesus redeems, restores, and recommissions imperfect people for His purpose.

No matter your past, your shame, or your setbacks… Jesus still reaches out His hand.

Because of Jesus:
• Failure does not define you
• Shame does not get the final word
• Freedom is available to everyone who places their faith in Him

We all ask it… even if we don’t say it out loud:
“Am I enough in your eyes?”
“Will someone choose me?”

This week we wrapped up Broken Promises by exposing two of the most personal idols—approval and love.

When your worth rises and falls on what people think…
When your wholeness depends on who chooses you…
You’re asking people to give you what only God can give.

The truth?
➡️ We’ve outsourced our identity to imperfect people.
➡️ And it’s leaving us anxious, exhausted, and empty.

In Genesis 29, Jacob, Leah, and Rachel show us what happens when we chase love from the wrong source—
You can get what you wanted… and still wake up unfulfilled.

But Leah’s story turns…
When her source changed, everything changed.

You are not enough because people approve of you.
You are enough because of Jesus.

✔️ Fully known
✔️ Fully loved
✔️ Already chosen

Stop placing God-sized expectations on human-sized people.

Sermon Recap:
Ever reorganize the dishwasher… just because your way is better? 👀

That little moment might be pointing to something deeper.

This week in Broken Promises, we tackled the idols of power and control—not the obvious kind, but the subtle kind that shows up in people like us.

👉 Control says: “If I can manage everything, I’ll be okay.”
👉 Power says: “My value comes from my influence.”

But underneath it all?
Shame → Fear → Control

We try to hold it all together…
and end up carrying what we were never meant to carry.

Here’s the good news:
Jesus doesn’t ask you to manage your life better—He invites you to surrender it.

✔️ He covers your shame
✔️ He is a better Lord than your control
✔️ He gives you significance you don’t have to earn

Sometimes the most powerful move isn’t taking control…
it’s looking up and allowing God to satisfy what power and control never can.
