Creative Living Study Group is a licensed study group of the Centers for Spiritual Living. We study the principles of New Thought, Science of Mind, Religious Science, Devine Science, Unity and Spiritual Metaphysics.

Life at the center of your being is a silent Power. Physical facts, form, and conditions are no obstruction to this Power. It flows through them and takes a new form in them. It remolds them. That which makes can re-make; that which molds can re-mold; that which creates can re-create. Remember, what you see comes from what you do not see. The visible is the Invisible made manifest. It is the Invisible caught in temporary form. Every time you think, you are giving form to this Invisible Power.

The question arises whether any limit can be placed upon the possibility of the conscious use of spiritual Power. Theoretically it would seem impossible to place such a limit. The only limitation would be that which proceeds from lack of belief or understanding. The Spirit Itself must be ever-present with us. If we could strip our mind of fear, superstition, and all sense of separation from this Divine Presence, approaching It quite simply and directly, we would probably be surprised at the results that would follow. In using spiritual Law, the one having the greatest faith obtains the best results.

Knowing that the Divine appears to each only as a measure of his own imagination, I enlarge the concept I present to It for fulfillment. I wait calmly and expectantly for new and greater experiences to come to me.

Prayer for World Peace

"The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.

I know there is but One Mind, which is the mind of God, in which all people live and move and have their being.

I know there is a divine pattern for humanity and within this pattern there is infinite harmony and peace, cooperation, unity, and mutual helpfulness.

I know that the mind of humankind, being one with the mind of God, shall discover the method, the way, and the means best fitted to permit the flow of Divine Love between individuals and nations. Thus harmony, peace, cooperation, unity, and mutual helpfulness are experienced by all.

I know there will be a free interchange of ideas, of cultures, of spiritual concepts, of ethics, of educational systems and scientific discoveries—for all good belongs to all alike.

I know that, because Divine Mind has created us all, we are bound together in one infinite and perfect unity.

I know that all people and all nations will remain individual but unified for the common purpose of promoting peace, happiness, harmony, and prosperity.

I know that deep within each person the Divine Pattern of perfect peace is already implanted.

I now declare that in each person and in leaders of thought everywhere this Divine Pattern moves into action and form, to the end that all nations and all people will live together in peace, harmony, and prosperity forever.

And so it is."

"Our lesson tells us that God is the Father, the Mother, the Supporter, and Grandsire. It tells us that from the Oneness of God proceeds the Law, the Essence and the Word. Then it tells us that God is Spirit.

Wonderful indeed is this conception of the union of all life, which Jesus proclaimed in the ecstasy of his illumination, “I and the Father are one.” All cause and all effect proceed from the invisible Spirit. We are one with this Spirit and cannot be separated from It. Our word has power because our word is the action of God through our thought. Power is. We use it; we do not have to create it. Let us seek to use the power of our word more generously, with a greater idea of its beneficence, its abundance, and its availability. When we learn to believe, then our belief is increased. Receiving much, we shall receive more; giving everything, we shall, in return, receive all. Let us be willing to die to the lesser in order to become resurrected into the greater. This is the true meaning of that thought that we must lose our lives in order to find them. Naturally we must let go of ignorance if we would gain knowledge; we must stop walking in darkness if we would walk in the light. Today I walk in the light of God’s Love. "

AFFIRMATION :
Today I am guided and my guidance is multiplied. I know exactly what to do, exactly how to do it. There is an inspiration within me that governs every act, every thought, in certainty, with conviction and peace.

Appreciation, Gratitude and Thanksgiving

It has been said that “the prayer of thanksgiving is the prayer of appropriation.” This was the manner in which Jesus prayed when he raised Lazarus from the tomb: “Father, I thank thee ….” Recognition, unification, and realization are the three steps in prayer or treatment. When we speak the words of thanksgiving to the God within, knowing “before they ask will I answer,” there is something in this attitude of thanksgiving that carries us beyond the field of doubt into one of perfect faith and acceptance, receptivity … realization. Appreciation, gratitude and thanksgiving—the motive power which attracts and magnifies the hidden potentialities of life.

How to Approach the Spirit
If we wish to come to the Spirit for the healing of our wounds, let us come in peace and with spontaneous joy, for the Spirit is joy; let us come with thanksgiving also, for a thankful heart is in harmony with life. But we must come in quiet confidence, with an open and receptive mind, a believing heart, naturally, sanely and expectantly. In this way, we are entering the portals of Reality, clad in garments of righteousness.

We often think what we require is money, friends and physical healing. After these things, do those, who are outside a knowledge of the Law, seek; and they do well, for we need all these things. But they are the effects of right relationships to life. All people need some form of healing. Most people are unhappy, few have any realization of permanent peace. We seek fragments, when the whole is at hand. How illogical to think that anything can rise higher than its source. The Universe is a perfect, undivided whole, and healing can take place only when one is unified with It. How can anyone, then, be healed in part? Let us seek wholeness above all else.
