Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
— John 14:27

This was the closest temple to attend during my mission in Iowa. I’m incredibly grateful for the time I had to visit this holy house of the Lord.

The Nauvoo Illinois Temple was dedicated 24 years ago.

My Father is what some would call a golf fanatic. He loves the sport and has taught it to all his kids. Whenever he visits normally we will take a trip out to the local driving rang or play 18 holes.

We recently played a round of golf and I was having a rough time. My hits were all over the place, it was hot, and by hole 9 I was extremely frustrated. My Father would stand off to the side watching my swing and would make patience corrections that would fix my sing. Believe it or not, the corrections works and as we continued I would need less corrections, but he would still stand by waiting for me if I needed advice.

We have a loving Father in Heaven who wants us to succeed. He sent his Son Jesus Christ to set the perfect example for us. Christ stand with us offering his infinite Atonement, and offers constant corrections to help us become more like him. He is patient with us even when we make mistakes. I am blessed to have a father on Earth and Heaven who continue to watch me, teach me and lead me to become all that I can be.

This Last week I had the opportunity to meet with a deacons quorum and have a conversation about inadequacy. During this conversation I thought of how our Father in Heaven views us during our moments of pity and insecurity. I imagine it’s the same as when a child looks up to a parent wishing they were bigger and could do big thing. In those moments the parents never discourage the child but have high hopes for the them, knowing they hold the potential to be so much more then they are now.

We are made in the image of a loving Heavenly Father, who see us in our weakness but has nothing but unwavering faith and hope in us that we can not only return back to Him but partake of all of his goodness and eternal blessings. Let us keep the Saviors commandment and “become as little children”; being humble, obedient, and working to grow into who our Father in Heaven knows we can be:

As an aircraft maintainer my job requires me to memorize and learn a lot. There is little to no time to think even for a second "Theres nothing more to learn" I remember in the beginning of my career I was determined to learn everything out my aircraft. The story of Ruth is one I have found inspiring this week. One of the reactions between Boaz and Ruth stuck out to me; when Boaz promises that his reapers would leave more wheat in the field for Ruth to take she says…

“Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?”

Often I feel like this myself when I experience the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. Mistake after mistake, and fall after fall Christ continues to proffer me forgiveness. Why have I found grace in thine eyes? It’s because he knows me. He knows my heart, my intentions, and He loves me unconditionally.

We can find peace and forgiveness as we repent with real intent having faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement. Only through Him can we become clean, without spot and return back to the presence of our Heavenly Father.

One of my favorite parts of the Latter-day Saint Home Educators Layton conference, was all the amazing art I was given. I have them hung next to my study desk as a reminder of wonderful time I had with these young men and women.

This last week I went to fulfill my shift in the house or the Lord. I always enjoy my time serving the patrons and feeling the spirit after a hectic week at work. This last shift was busy however. We had over 29 own endowments and had to spilt the sessions multiple times. To make matters seem more overwhelming we were extremely understaffed. The task seemed almost impossible to accomplish.

Nevertheless, we worked with what we were given and executed each session without any problems. I was reminded of the story of Gideon and how the Lord magnifies the power and efforts of any number he needs. Only in the house of the Lord can I not only fine divine peace and instruction, but witness divine and remarkable miracles.
