A mother bear separated from her cubs was considered one of the most dangerous creatures imaginable. Yet Solomon says it is safer to encounter that bear than a person consumed by foolishness.
This proverb reminds us that wisdom is not always found in having the last word. Sometimes wisdom recognizes when a conversation is no longer producing understanding and chooses peace instead. Not every argument deserves your participation.
Before you respond today, ask yourself: Am I helping this conversation move toward peace, or am I just trying to win?
