Straighten Another Sister’s Crown

Sometimes a sister’s crown slips because life has been heavy.

An encouraging word, a listening ear, a whispered prayer, or a helping hand may be just what she needs.

Draw near with gentleness. Protect her dignity. Keep what she shares in confidence unless she gives permission to share it. Remind her that she is God’s beloved daughter.

We don’t always know what caused a crown to slip or how much strength it took to show up wearing it.

And when your own crown slips, let another sister draw near.

A BIG thank-you to the Women’s Ministries Departments at the Nantucket and Cape Cod Churches for organizing a wonderful fall retreat themed “It Is Well With My Soul”!

Desiree, Rachel, Shirley, Sophia, Charmane, and the many volunteers, thank you for the love, time, and care you poured into making this weekend so special. From start to finish, your service looked like love.

Special thanks to our guest speakers, Betty-Ann Pilgrim and Maria Jackson, for sharing messages that encouraged our hearts and strengthened our faith.

We thank God for blessing our weekend with His presence and speaking to our hearts in such beautiful and personal ways.
