The church received a call that a family was in need of food. Luckily, we were able to tell them about our Little Pink Pantry which is available 24/7/365. I swung by and although we had a lot of basics, I was able to restock it for that family and anyone else who is in need.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. To Morattico Waterfront Museum, and the wonderful people of Morattico who donated a literal carload of food for The Pink Pantry to feed our neighbors in need. Their generosity is greatly appreciated. And a special thanks to Rob McArdle who has made this is special mission.

In 2026, The Episcopal Church will celebrate the 50th anniversary of affirming that LGBTQ+ people have a full and equal claim to the love, acceptance, and pastoral care of the church.

“For 50 years, faithful Episcopalians from all walks of life have worked and prayed to make that promise a reality,” Rowe said in a message for the June 1 Pride Eucharist with Blessing and Commissioning in New York. “While the journey is not yet over, Pride gives us an opportunity to remember the struggles, celebrate the joy, and give thanks for the love of God that binds us together and makes us one.”

Social upheaval. Political polarization. Religious division. Sound familiar? That was the world of the American Revolution. We take independence for granted today, but the very idea of an independent United States was a difficult and deadly debate in these former British colonies–and in what would become the Episcopal Church. The Rev. Kevin Laskowski will present on the history and theology of American independence, looking at Revolutionary-era sermons from Anglican clergy and others. We’ll then worship according the prayer book then in use at the time–with the congregation voting whether or not to say the prayers for the king… Join us for The Gospel of Revolution- July 3rd!

The Rev. Kevin Laskowski serves as priest-in-charge at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Centreville, Virginia. Kevin holds a BA in Government from George Mason University and an MDiv from Virginia Theological Seminary. In 2024, he appeared on the game show Jeopardy!, winning three games and competing in the Tournament of Champions.
