Today, after being away for two weeks due to weather, we were finally able to gather again and share in communion. We began during our prayer and sharing time as our moderator invited the congregation to reflect on two questions as we came to the Lord in prayer:
What is the Lord inviting me to release as I come to the table?
What is the Lord inviting me to receive?
Despite the cold temperatures and snow still covering much of the area, people came faithfully to worship. So many, in fact, that we grew a little nervous—we weren’t sure we had enough communion cups prepared. Normally we have a few to spare, but not today.
Yet the Lord provided. Every single person who came forward received communion. Not one cup was left over, and no one went without. Everyone arrived safely, and God’s presence was so evident among us.
The Lord is amazing, isn’t He? 🙏✨

From the pulpit yesterday, I shared about the Father’s love — and how in our times of worry, doubt, confusion, and chaos, the Father doesn’t always provide answers, but He does provide His presence. This scene, though fictionalized for The Chosen, captures that as closely as I can describe it for now. This Christmas season, I hope you come to feel His nearness, even when answers are few.

The chorus “Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart” reminds us that true gratitude begins with recognizing the greatest gift we’ve ever received—Jesus. His love, sacrifice, and grace give us a reason to be thankful in every season. When we pause to remember what He’s done, even the simplest moments shine with purpose and blessing.

Grateful hearts make the simplest moments feel like blessings. Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡

Huge thanks to everyone from or church outreach team who helped serve at the Elizabethtown Christmas Tree Lighting! And a big shout-out to the local Ministerium for inviting Bossler’s to be a small part of the crew warming people from the inside out with cocoa…side effects: joy, smiles, and mild cookie overload. Grateful for every chance to share the hope of Jesus in our community.
Have a Merry Thanksgiving! 🎄☕🍪✨

Walking Through the Door

LMC, our Conference of Churches, has invited us to walk through this door as we follow Christ. As I stepped through, a few things stood out to me.
The wood at the bottom of the frame, which could caused some to stumble, reminded me that the path Christ calls us to walk will not always be easy. Yet we must not let the fear of obstacles keep us from moving forward.
Walking through this door holds so many symbolisms, but my focus is the cross before me — a powerful reminder of Jesus’ words in Matthew 16:24: “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
Thank you, LMC, for this challenge. May God bless all who walked through this door — all to know Him and to make Him known.

Amen.
