Towards the end of last season, the board voted unanimously in favor of purchasing an AED to donate to Florida Southern College and have it installed in the ensemble hallway.

Prior to this installation, the nearest defibrillator was in the Branscomb lobby, and was often behind several locked doors during rehearsals.  Now not only choral society members, but FSC staff and students, All County staff and students, and any other folks that need it will have access to this life-saving device. While we hope no one ever has to use it, knowing it’s there provides an immeasurable peace of mind.

Thank you to the board, Nate Hettinger, and Shing Palagano for bringing this gift to life. Thank you to Florida Southern for installing and maintaining this device to provide security for years to come.

A bit about us:

We are an auditioned choir of approximately 70 members. We rehearse Monday nights in the choir room at Florida Southern College (M208, hallway behind Branscomb auditorium) We have 2 main concerts per year (December & May) and a few other voluntary performances sprinkled in.

We are a non-profit, providing college scholarships to local music students. We enjoy making a meaningful impact in our community not only through music and scholarships, but also by giving back to those in need.

We hope you can join us for our best season yet!
