PRAYER.

A Christian should never say or have the mindset that nothing can be done to help. One can always pray and prayer is the best activity we can be involved in. When we pray we allow God to take over and nothing is impossible with Him. Are you troubled, discouraged, tired, downcast today? Are you blessed? Rise up and pray!
"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:15-16
Remember there are different types of prayer, it's simply direct communication with God. Doesn't that sound great?

Personal prayer.
"Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, "Sit over here while I go and pray over there." He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will."" Matthew 26:36,39 God's will is always best. Jesus surrendered to the Father's will and our sins were paid for.

"And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."" 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 more grace = more power.

"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief! Mark 9:24 Don't be too proud to repeat this prayer.

Intercessory prayer.

"But I say to you, "love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."" Matthew 5:44

"Peter therefore was kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church." Acts 12 :5

"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved." Romans 10:1

"Then Jesus said, "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do." Luke 23:34 Pray for that lost loved one that God would enlighten them.

Adoration.

'Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: "Blessed are you, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord is the greatness, the power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head over all."" 1 Chronicles 29:11

"How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts! My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Psalm 84:1-2

"No one is holy like the LORD, For there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our God." 1 Samuel 2:2

"Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

May you enjoy the blessings of the LORD today.

The Holy Spirit.

When we become a born again Christian we become a triune being, that is, body, soul and Spirit. Prior to that we are body and soul (emotions). We Christians have the advantage in life of having Gods Spirit guide us over these troubled waters here. However, the world, the flesh, and the devil are still at the door of our heart always ready to deliver temptation. Choose to walk/live in the Spirit and you will be victorious; that is a promise from God.
"I say then: "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."" Galatians 5:16

"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefor glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

"Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." John 3:6

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8

"'Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you." John 16:7

"However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you." John 16:13-14

"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive , because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." John 14:16-17

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, , whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." John 16:26

"But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me." John 15:26

Remember, we have the choice to walk/live after the Spirit or the flesh.
"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice." Ephesians 4:30-31

"Do not quench the Spirit." 1 Thessalonians 5:19 means suppress, extinguish.

We don't see the Holy Spirit, just as we don't see the wind, but we see the results.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." Galatians 5:22-23 *lets memorize these*

Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen

Stand fast on your faith.

Have you ever said, " Things can't get any worse.", and they did? That's the way things work here on earth. Just because we are Christians doesn't mean life here on earth will be better for us than others. It may be better, and for sure spiritually, however all mankind is subject to things which happen here due to mans choice. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:45 that it rains on the just and unjust and the sun shines on the just and the unjust. Blessings fall upon Gods people and horrible things affect all people due to mans free will which God allows but grieves over. Remember Christian, this world is not your home, we are just passing through. Stand on your faith and let your light shine to all the world. The door is still open for people to come to Jesus.

"Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified" 1 Peter 4:12-14

"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing." James 1:2-4

"Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all things you do be done with love." 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58

"If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with the horses? And if in the land of peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?" Jeremiah 12:5

"For by you I can run against a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall." Psalm 18:29

"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand." Ephesians 6:13

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bo***ge." Galatians 5:1

"The Unpardonable Sin '

What can I do for God?

When I think of how much God has done for me I get overwhelmed. He's given me, a believer, real life, real love, real joy, forgiveness of sin and victory over sin, death and myself, and many other undeserved blessings. I'm sure many of you feel the same way. When someone gives us gifts we start to ask ourselves "what can I give back to them?" Well God doesn't need anything, but there are things He desires from us; they are well pleasing to Him (and they are in our power and choice to give them).

"He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" Micah 6:8

"So Samuel said: "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold to obey is better than sacrifice , and to heed than the fat of rams."" 1 Samuel 15:22

"O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth your praise. For you do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart - These , O GOD you will not despise." Psalm 51:15-17

"Oh, that we would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness." Psalm 107:8-9

"Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. Do not forget to do good and to share for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." Hebrews 13:15-16

"So the scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices,"" Mark 12:32-34

"I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1

We are the living sacrifice God desires to use through our speech and actions to demonstrate His great love for all. Just be a humble Christian.

What do you know about your faith?

The word know in scripture often means more than just to know of something or someone. It means to know about through experience or to know with understanding, to perceive to be assured of. It is good to know about our Christian faith in a real sense of the word. Many times people approach me, a pastor and ask a question concerning a certain topic or scripture, and I don't know the answer. Now pastors are to know everything concerning our faith. I'll let you in on how I get around this dilemma. I tell the person that I'm giving them some homework for the week. That is to research the scriptures and come back next week and tell me what you have found. In the meantime I will do my homework and I will look pretty smart. The Bible is the inspired word of God and He wants us to know many things concerning our faith, so we study His word, and then believe it.

"And we Know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Notice the word all. God has a purpose)." Romans 8:28

"For I Know that the LORD is great , and our LORD is above all gods. Whatever the LORD pleases He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deep places." Psalm 135:5-6

"Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of HIs pasture." Psalm 100:3

"For I Know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth." Job 19:25

"And we Know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we ay Know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life." 1 John 5:20

"For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I Know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that day." 2 Timothy1:12

"Do you not Know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in You?" 1 Corinthians 3:16

Some Christians feel they are not smart enough to share the gospel. If you are a born again Christian then you can share the truth - go for it. Paul was very educated, and look what he writes:
"And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to Know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." 1 Corinthians 2:1-2

"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might Know the things that have been freely given to us by God." 1 Corinthians 2:12

Know Jesus. Be following Him and it will show.
"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus." Acts 4:13

God loves you and me.
