God has given us :

Nothing can compare to the spiritual blessings we receive due to our being a child of God. Remember, for all eternity we will be living in a city whose Maker and Builder is God. What a wonderful place heaven is and there will be no more pain, nor sorrow nor sin. We get to leave our medication behind and feel great all the time. Sounds good to me. There are so many blessings for the Christian even now.
God has given us:

"He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:13-14

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and hope." Jeremiah 29:11

"Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the Knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

"For you did not receive the spirit of bo***ge again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together." Romans 8:15-17

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

*Special note" Next Wednesday in place of posting a devotional, my wife and I will be renewing our marriage vows live on Facebook at 8:00 A.M.. It will remain there for future viewing. We want to publicly thank God for the wonderful marriage He has blessed us with. God is good.

God is great, God is good!

It is good to proclaim God's goodness and how great He really is. David professed this as he delivered the Ark to a tabernacle he erected in Jerusalem. It is a prayer, a Psalm and actually worship which we believers get the privilege of sharing with our God. (I would encourage you to read all of 1 Chronicles 16.)

"Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the LORD made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and gladness are in His place." 1 Chronicles 16:23-27

"Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; And let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns." Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it. Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the LORD, For He is coming to judge the earth. Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:31-34

"Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?' Romans 2:4

"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13

"Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" Psalm 34:8

"I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable." Psalm 145:1-3

"Who is Jesus?"

Never alone.
Thank God that as a Christian I am never alone. The Lord is always with me, day or night. At times we get feeling alone in this world, even if surrounded by a crowd. The problem is we look for someone or something tangible to wrap my arms around. The Lord is there, with you at all times, just know and develop that relationship. Jesus is our life and our friend who is closer than a brother. Just see Him with spiritual vision.
In the book of John, chapter 20, verse 17 we see Mary clinging to Jesus after His resurrection as if to say "I'm not letting you get away from me." We should have the same passion for Jesus. Jesus said to her, "Don't cling to Me." We don't have to; He will never leave us or forsake us; He loves us. Many young children have a stuffed animal/doll as a comforting friend. If it gets lost, parents you are in trouble. As one gets older they find a comforting friend. Later on, one may find a spouse to be there for them. Many end this life with no tangible person ,animal or thing to cling to. However there is the Lord. Get personal with Him.
"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear, what can man do to me?"" Hebrews 13:5-6

"Greater love has no one but this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you." John 15:13-14"

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone sn**ch them out of MY hand." John 10:27

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him." Psalm 28:7

"Trust in Him at all times you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us." Psalm 62:8

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1

"If I say "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," Even the light shall be light about me; Indeed the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You." Psalm 139:11-12

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4

What a friend we have in Jesus!

Homeward Bound.

Each person will spend time on earth and then in heaven or hell. Each person will move once they leave earth. What one does with Jesus Christ while they are living on this earth will determine where they spend eternity. Receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and you move to heaven once you leave here. To enter hell you have to do absolutely nothing.
"And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15
"And this is the testimony; that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." 1 John 5:11-12

The earth we now see is not the way God created it. All was in perfect harmony. The problem is that the Devil, our adversary was here also. He tempted Eve to disobey God's command to "not eat" of the fruit of a certain tree. She and Adam chose, with their free will God allowed them to have, to disobey God, and things went downhill from there. Satan, now called the prince of this world goes around causing destruction and havoc. His desire is to fill up hell. The suffering, chaos, pain, division, anger, hate is all caused by man's rebellion against God and His word and we all suffer the consequences, believer or not.
The good news is that this world is not our permanent home. We believers have a beautiful home awaiting us; the word paradise can't even explain it. We all go through hurt, trials, tribulations, trouble and what Paul called, "a thorn in the flesh." We would like to get rid of those thorns and at times we would even like to trade thorns with someone else. However, it wouldn't be any better because you would still be on this earth (your temporary dwelling place.) If you feel out of place here - good, because you are not home. The blood of Jesus Christ runs through your veins and you will never fit in here, you will long to be with Him forever, and you will be. Don't get discouraged or focus on the good the bad or the evil. Share the good news of an everlasting life in heaven with God. We don't believe in a fairy tale, we have the truth. Each day may not get better for us here, and actually things may get worse, but we are one day closer to eternal bliss.

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:1-3

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17

"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth." Colossians 3:1-2 Don't let your mind wander or focus on self.

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." Philippians 3:20

"You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forever more.." Psalm 16:11

""For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Romans 8:18

"And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."" Revelation 21:3-5

I pray that God ministers to all who read this text.
