Ok customers. Back in May of 2025 I posted that we were having a rate study done on our water system to determine our rates. Well, Public Utility Commission has completed that study and I have posted them at the water tower and at the Laird Hill post office. I know we are all sick of paying higher bills but, this is a must for the survival of our water system. We chose to not implement the full price of the rates suggested at this time but rather go up in increments as time goes on so we can absorb the least amount of shock at a time. In the 31 years that I have lived here our rates only increased by $15.00 so we have been fortunate. Please remember that bills are due by the 5th of each month. The late fee is $10.00 between the 6th-10th. Please pay your bill in full and return the right side of your stub to ensure your payment is posted to the correct account.

Just a heads up. I had to submit paperwork today for those in charge to do a rate study for our water system. I am not thrilled about paying a higher rate either but due to everyone raising their prices on us it looks like we won't have a choice. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up so be prepared. I will let everyone know as soon as I know something.

Per Keith's request please do not use water on 157 at this time. He is trying to fix a break in the line caused by the company burying internet cable.

UPDATE: We have a crew working on the break at the tower. There is no estimated time of completion yet, but we will keep you updated as we learn more. Thank you for your patience.

Ok everyone on Leverett's Chapel Water. We have a major break at the water tower and we have a man on his way to check it out. PLEASE do not use the water unless absolutely necessary. This is a steel pipe not PVC and it will require some time to fix. I will keep you posted as I know.
