Food for thought: Jobs righteousness didn't keep him from difficulty it promoted him to pain. Being a Christian doesn't keep us from troubles but when God wants to promote us He has to purify us and the channel for that is pain.

Here are some food for thought I had on my way to work today. What do you think makes up your opinion? Is it based on facts? Integrity? Morals? How much is based on trauma? Anger? Perspective? Circumstances? I think Pride and the root of pride is the belief that my life and my choices are my own. When in reality none of the choices we make are based solely on our own influence. The life we chose is also not our own. We make choices based on 100% exterior influence. Some are facts some are not. When I got saved God gave me His wisdom which was not of me. I'm a different person now and more of the decisions I've made have been rooted in Him. As Christians we strive to make every decision based on His wisdom however we are still human. We still want to think that our thoughts are our own and we still have some autonomy. I'm here to tell you we don't. We are either being influenced by the world or influenced by the word. Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The Circle Lighting Event is happening this Friday, September 5th at 8:30 PM! 💜✨ Join us as we light the Circle purple in honor of National Recovery Month.

⚠️ Important Parking Note: There will also be a Fever game downtown that night, so parking garages will be charging higher event rates. We encourage you to park north of the Circle for more cost-friendly options. Metered parking should also be available.

📍 Best Viewing Spot: The Recovery Month messaging will be displayed along the AES building on the south side of the Circle. The best view will be from the top of the stairs on the south side. For accessibility, a ramp is available on the east side of the Circle.

Come out, bring friends, and help us shine a light on recovery! 💡💜
