Questions for Reflection
Review how you have learned about Earth throughout your life, giving thanks for each of your teachers and guides. In what ways does your way of living reflect gratitude for Earth? How might you enhance your care for God’s creation?

This Sunday is known as Trinity Sunday. The Trinity, as revealed in Matthew 28:16-20, highlights the authority, mission, and presence of God in the work of salvation. May we embrace the mystery and unity of the Trinity as we live out our faith and share the love of God with the world.

Pentecost is a significant Christian festival that occurs 50 days after Easter Sunday. The word “Pentecost” comes from the Greek word Pentēkostē, meaning “fiftieth.” It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ, as described in the Book of Acts (Acts 2:1–4).

This event is often considered the “birthday of the Church” because it marks the beginning of the apostles’ public ministry to spread Christianity. On Pentecost, Christians remember the moment when the apostles were empowered by the Holy Spirit to preach the Gospel to people of all nations, symbolizing unity and divine guidance.

By understanding the history, symbolism, and celebrations of Pentecost, believers can appreciate its profound significance, both in scripture and in modern Christian life.

Join us this Sunday for the Day of Pentecost. Our service times are:

Russell Hill UMC - 8:45
South Auburn UMC - 9:45

This humorous video exaggerates the feeling we sometimes have when our favorite pastor or preacher is not preaching on a Sunday. But the Bible teaches us that God speaks through various types of people and that His word is powerful and effective no matter who He speaks through. We should be open to hearing the word of the God because ultimately we are listening to God not man.

"And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.” 1 Thessalonians 2:13

Questions for Reflection
Reflect on your own life-how can you be a vessel of love and support for those in need, like Lazarus? What practical steps can you take to help the poor in your community? These questions can serve as a guide for personal reflection, encouraging deeper engagement with the text and its implications for our lives today.

Hello everyone. I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes for my sister Kim, her boyfriend Mike and for myself. They are greatly appreciated.

My sister and Mike are doing well. They have a little way to go before they are 100%, but they'll make it.

I am back home and church will go on as planned but I wanted to thank everyone for caring. God bless you all.

Pastor Perry.

Hell is a real place and there are real people that end up there. There is also a very real path to avoid hell, and that’s through Jesus Christ. In whom we have hope, rest, and peace… forever
