Our Story:

The idea of Overcomers began in 2015 with Genny Small looking for others that had walked a similar path in their fight with breast cancer. As a 39 year old mother who was diagnosed while pregnant, she could not find the support that she needed in the breast cancer community that addressed the real and personal assaults that breast cancer did to the mind, body, and spirit. During Genny's chemotherapy treatments and multiple surgeries, she began to look at ways that she could help other women. As a home educator to her 8 children she knew what an effective curriculum looked like and how to navigate new topics. In her own search for answers she created what the Overcomers now use for their workshop curriculum.
