Changing the way we think about the giving season... Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving back, follows the annual shopping days "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday" to change the way people think about the giving season. Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee, Emerald Youth Foundation and Knoxville Leadership Foundation are partnering to raise funds for Knoxville's at-risk youth. On December

2, we will launch Knoxville's fist event. Our goal is to raise $50,000 which will provide additional mentoring and educational programs for Knoxville's urban youth. These programs are essential to teach young people positive life skills while helping them to achieve their goals. We need your help to mobilize the community to make a success! Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee has been transforming the lives of children since 1970. Emerald Youth Foundation is a Christian, urban youth and community development ministry that serves more than 1,500 urban children, teens and young adults each year. Programs include: JustLead – Our church and community-based ministry provides after school, summer, discipleship and mentoring experiences. Sports – Through our partnership with FCA, we offer recreational and competitive and campus team sports opportunities including soccer, volleyball, swimming, and track, as well as traditional offerings in baseball and basketball. Fellows – A transition program to help high school seniors complete post-secondary education or training and establish both a career and a role as a servant leader in their church and community.
