Knoxville Food Not Bombs Food is a Right...
A radical collection of critters and folks that reclaim and can provide food and meals as an action of nonviolent, peaceful protest.

Food is a Right, Not a Privilege

FNB is many things, mostly undefined and dynamic, but we gather as a peaceful protest, not a charity, to object to the fact that the US government continues to pour funding into the defense sector while schools, communities, and individuals continue to struggle here in America. We, as a loose collective of critters, reclaim food and provide a non-discriminatory,

free space to gather and eat (our Saturday Picnics and free grocery store). Serving every Saturday at 2:30pm! Krutch Park, downtown, at the corner of Clinch Ave. and Market St. Cooking every Saturday at 11:30am!

Hey there fine folks! First Aid Collective Knoxville and East Tennessee Harm Reduction are working with Mutual Aid Disaster Relief to send items down to Louisiana to help with cleanup efforts in the wake of Hurricane Ida. If you have any of these items in excess, please consider bringing them by one of the listed locations. If you can't make it by Sept. 3 that's ok, the effort will be ongoing and we'll post updates.
We have a special ask of service industry workers: if your job regularly disposes of 5 gallon buckets (aka "pickle buckets"), please save them and bring them!! These are incredibly useful for folks cleaning up in the wake of a hurricane.
As severity and frequency of climate disasters increase, it's imperative that we strengthen and support supply chains that get resources to folks that need them. There are shortages of many of these supplies in Louisiana right now, and the Southeast is pulling together in solidarity ❤️❤️❤️

In the same vein, if you ever need to unload a giant collection of sugar and creamer packets, we'll happily take them 🙃

The person running this funraiser works tirelessly to get resources to people who need them, while building with and strengthening existing networks of community care. Check out their instagram to get more information on yesterday's raid and to see reciepts from the tent fundraiser. And most importantly, send money!

If you have extra blankets, tents, clothing, shoes, etc you'd like to share, we're still out there at Krutch Park every Saturday at 2:30. We aren't cooking together due to the pandemic, but our weekly meal hasn't missed a beat. Bring what you can, take what you need :)
