We will be distributing food on Friday the 20th. The clothes closet is also open. Please follow the schedule below, if possible!

11:00-12:00 last names beginning A-C
12:00–1:00 last names beginning D-J

Exceptions are allowed for carpooling and for scheduling conflicts such as illness, doctor’s appointments, etc.

EDIT: I should have thought to include how to contribute to our Pantry. You can drop off food at the Pantry in the small building located in the parking lot. It's always open! You can mail a check written to the Coalfield SDA Church with the memo field marked for the food pantry. You can mail a check to the church at P.O. Box 217 Coalfield, TN 37719.

Thank you to those who have asked how they can help!

Food pantries are struggling to stock food for people experiencing food insecurity. USDA foods have been very limited this year and in the next few days we will see a pause in SNAP benefits. The bottom line is that more people are going to need food and the free foods available to the pantries is almost non-existent. Pantry budgets are tight and do not go very far when buying commodities for 100s of people.

There’s a couple of ways you can help. You can donate food or cash to a local food pantry. At Hope for the Hungry in Coalfield we would really appreciate your donations.

Also, check on your neighbors. Sharing a meal can go a long way when families are without food.

Traffic will handled as usual, that is, drive into the front parking lot of the church and around the back of the building to sign in and pick up food. See you soon!
