The Friendly Guys and Gals 4-H Club of Knoxville will be working to restore a pioneer cemetery near Knoxville this summer.

Club Leader Patti Vanderhart says that the club has worked a few summers at Hull-DeWitt Cemetery in Knoxville, focusing their efforts on restoring damaged stones and memorializing those that cannot be identified. Vanderhart says that some of the oldest identified graves are from the 1840s and encourages community members to join them in their historical preservation efforts. The club will begin working on the site at the end of April. For more information listen to Let’s Talk Knoxville.
