"This was Cornerstone's 18th year in Inasmuch. This year we decided to go as a group to one of our local elementary schools for a morning of projects. We have partnered with Westfield for several years, including staff meals and back to school events.

For 2026 Operation Inasmuch, we worked outside the school by spreading mulch and brick chips, cleaning the parking lot and front entry, and cleaning and painting the mailbox. Inside the school, we helped organize their "Loads of Love" room. This room serves as a food and clothing pantry for the students and their families. We installed clothing racks, and organized clothing by size and gender. We also shopped for food items for the room.

We enjoyed working as a group at the same work site. There was a lot of good fellowship throughout the morning."

RLC Day of Service (Operation Inasmuch)
Saturday, April 25 from 8:00 am-Noonish

RLC will participate in local service projects under the heading of Operation Inasmuch this year on Saturday, April 25. This Day of Service is a way for us to put our faith into action and make a difference in the life of others.

The event starts at 8:00 am in the Family Life Center with a breakfast prepared by the RLC Men’s Group and time of fellowship. After breakfast at 9:00 am, we split out into our groups to complete our service. End time is noon or earlier, if the project is completed. Some groups will stay on campus while others will travel. There will be activities for all age groups.

One of our projects is to collect nonperishable food for a food bank in Raleigh named With Love from Jesus. The food collection barrels are in the Narthex and the Family Life Center to collect these food items. The following items are requested: peanut butter and jelly, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned soup, canned tomato sauce, rice (1 pound), pasta (1 pound), and dry cereal.

Faith in action is alive and well at Conway Baptist Church in Conway, NC! For years, Shelby has faithfully helped lead their Inasmuch efforts, rallying the church to step beyond the walls and into the community. Because of that leadership, and the heart of their congregation, hundreds of lives are touched each year.

Together with Pastor Kevin and a dedicated team of volunteers, Conway Baptist is living out what it truly means to follow Christ, serving the hungry, caring for the hurting, and reaching those who feel forgotten. This is more than a day of service, it's a lifestyle of compassion.

They are a powerful example of what's possible when a church says "YES" to being the hands and feet of Jesus.

There’s something especially powerful about seeing the next generation step up to serve. At the annual Snyder Memorial Baptist Church Inasmuch Day, volunteers came together to pack baskets for children in the hospital.

One young volunteer summed it up perfectly: “I really love this project, it’s my favorite that I’ve done before.” Moments like this remind us just how impactful it is to create opportunities for children to serve.

Projects like these are more than just acts of kindness. They’re moments of growth. When we intentionally plan service opportunities that kids can be part of, we’re helping them learn compassion, generosity, and the joy of putting others first. Because the truth is, even kids need to be serving others too.

Thank you to everyone who made this project possible and for investing in both the lives of those receiving these baskets and the young hearts learning what it means to serve. 🙌
