Refuge on the Mountain Ministry

Refuge on the Mountain Ministry Refuge on the Mountain ministry is a faith-based community ministry teaching sound biblical doctrine and spreading the gospel message.

Serving Sevier County, TN: Gatlinburg, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge & surrounding areas. Refuge on the Mountain maintains a Missional Community Church. As people come to know Jesus we form them into communities of Jesus-followers - called churches in the New Testament modeled after Acts 2:41 - 47. These are disciple-making communities where people engage all the functions of the church: worshipping,

edifying one another, serving together, using spiritual gifts, and experiencing transformation. As more people come to faith, new opportunities arise for forming new communities.

There is so much more to church than a building, its living life together. Give the kids flashlights and something the break, they'll always have a good time. Especially when they learn a lesson in patience and waiting on God's promises.

Seeing the kids and the parents get involved is wonderful. The first hosted VBS in many years.

Great night with the kids learning about Gideon. More nights for anyone that wants to join us.

It will be a great time for the kids and an opportunity to learn and grow in a walk with Christ.

Lament is more than just feeling grief-stricken or sorrowful after we experience loss or are confronted by our mistakes; it’s a recognition of a wrong that’s been experienced or committed. Lament is an opportunity for us to draw close to the Lord and seek his healing and restoration in our lives...

Self-care and religious activities serve a purpose in our personal well-being; however, focusing on a list of dos and don’ts can lead to deeper struggles that affect us not only physically and emotionally but also spiritually.

There is a rise in self-care & cultures increase awareness of the physical & nutritional practices in caring for the body but it doesn't address the real issues. Anxiety, depression, doubt & worry can take a toll on our body & mind but it also can hurt our relationships and soul. Our response, as the body of Christ should be a holistic approach, caring for the mind, body, soul, & relationships. For the next 5 weeks, we will be looking at how to care for the whole you.

It is hard to grasp the implications of victory over sin from the resurrection. We don’t always see, feel, think, or experience the freedom that comes with victory. Look around the world, you can see sin, death, and evil, even though they were defeated by Christ. We still have to fight today and are told to stand firm and put on the whole armor of God.

So what is your problem or what problems do you have today in your life that is choking the life out of you? What is your vice, drugs, alcohol, po*******hy, s*x? Not your issues how about your lips, speaking lies, gossip, speaking ill of others. Or anger, road rage, despair, or fear.
