Today Thompson Creek celebrated 190 years!! We dedicated this years homecoming to the Wi******er/Shopher families! The Wi******er Family has played a big part in our churches history beginning with Thomas and Mildred Wi******er. They raised 5 children in Thompson, their oldest Tom Wi******er preached our Homecoming service and their youngest Evonne Shopher is still a member of Thompson Creek. The Wi******er’s now have great-great-great grandchildren that are members of Thompson Creek!! Tom Wi******er has been in the ministry for 70 years and is still actively pastoring at Union Friendship! Evonne has been a member of Thompson Creek since 1952 and her husband Harrel has been a Deacon for over 50 years!! The Wi******ers also have two grandsons that were called to the ministry from Thompson Creek and are both pastors today!! We are so thankful for this family and Harrel and Evonne’s faithfulness to Thompson Creek!!

Thank you to everyone who had a part in this day and the surprises for Bro. Tom and Harrel and Evonne!!

Even though we don’t really know what Summer 2020 holds for us VBS plans are still underway! But we need members to help out!! I can still use a few volunteers for teachers! I will be delivering curriculum this weekend and I also plan to have a Zoom training for my teachers!! If you would like to help please please let me know! At this point I’m not sure that our June date will still be a go, but I do plan to have a back up date in place very soon!! Also, I need to order shirts soon so please comment with what size you need!! Thanks so much!!! I know God has big things planned for our VBS this year and I’m so humbled just to be a part of it!! -Tiffany
