Finished our first Bible Conference.
Submitted documents for permanent residency.
Completed two years in Paraguay!
And tomorrow is the biggest exam of our ministry, who will win USA or Paraguay!

Update! We survived!!!
Our documents have been accepted and submitted for residency! Praise the Lord!

We returned from Encarnación after a great week of ministry. Today we got up early and made our way to Asuncion.
The residency process has changed several times and they are still trying to implement all the changes. We are praying that our representative would be able to get the hard copies of documents we submitted for our temporary residency and that they would be accepted for our permanent residency.
For now we wait for the identifications office to give our documents over to our representative... Please pray for the process to be resolved today so that we do not need to make another trip to the capital nor seek out more documentation.

Greetings Prayer Warriors!
We have completed the first three nights of the conference and it has been a blessing! Would you please continue praying:
Thursday Kathleen teaches Ladies group
Friday I teach on Making God's Priorities Our Priorities (Finances)
Saturday we help with Kids Club here in Encarnación
Sunday I preach to close out the conference and then we head back to Ciudad del Este!
Next week we hope to get out a ministry update with how it all went. Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for us!

Tonight we begin series number one on "Strong Families make Strong Churches". This week we will focus on the purpose that believers have in the church.
1) Romans 12 Use of Spiritual Gifts
2) 2nd Samuel 11 (Men Only)
3) Hebrews 13:17 Submission to Pastoral Authority
4) Selfless Service (Ladies Only)
5) Mateo 6:24 God as my Priority (Finances)

We ask that you please join us in prayer for those in attendance that their ears would be open to the Word of God and hearts eager to make necessary changes. We ask that you also pray for us through the week as we share from the Word of God each night.
May God get the Glory!

Plan Change: We won't be going to the capital this week to sign papers. We are postponing the trip until after our conference in Encarnación. This will allow us more study time before our busy week teaching.

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us.
Trip number one went great! I attended a Pastors retreat with a group of guys from our church and it was a blessing. Made great connections with others as well and am excited for how the Lord might use these relationships.
Kathleen was also blessed to host an evening with the ladies one evening and that too was a blessing!
Monday we leave for the capital to sign papers for our residency process. We found housing for a great price at a Missions apartment provided by New Tribes Missions.
Lots of rain in the forecast but are praying for a safe and uneventful trip :)

Calendar of events:
May 19th-22nd Jared will be at a Pastors retreat.
May 25th-26th trip to Asuncion to sign documents and apply for Permanent residency. Pray we can find conviente housing for our stay.
May 30th -June 7th Trip to Encarnación. We will be teaching a conference during the week.

We went, we listened, we encouraged, and we returned. Now we pray for a response on how we can continue supporting the work and ministry in Tobati.
Thank you all for your prayers. It was a long day but we are thankful for each of you who encouraged us along the way.

We ask that you please pray for Jared, Pastor Juan Carlos and Missionary Felix as they travel to Tobati today to meet with some church leaders.
