We will be studying the book of Luke all of December starting Dec 1 through Christmas day! Please join us!

Advent is a season of anticipation, reflection, and celebration. Biblically, it means “coming” or “arrival” and focuses on the fulfillment of God’s promise to send a Savior into the world. It’s a time to remember the greatest birth in history—the birth of Jesus Christ. Through Advent, we prepare our hearts not only to celebrate His coming as a baby in Bethlehem but also to await His glorious return as our King. Each year, my husband and I read through the book of Luke, chapter by chapter, starting December 1 and continuing until Christmas Day.

This tradition has deepened our understanding of who Jesus is and renewed our gratitude for the incredible gift of salvation. This year, I’m overjoyed to invite you on this journey through Luke, sharing in this tradition as we draw closer to Christ together. As we walk through the 25 chapters of Luke, we’ll witness the life, ministry, and mission of Jesus. From the angel’s announcement to Mary to His teachings, miracles, sacrifice, and resurrection, every chapter reveals the heart of God and the depth of His love for us.
My prayer is that this devotional will inspire your faith, renew your hope, and fill you with the joy of the season as we celebrate Jesus—the greatest gift of all.

Interesting!

A man named Earl Tupper invented Tupperware in the 1940’s, but the American public simply didn’t like plastic.

The Company nearly went under until it took a cue from its leading seller, a woman named Brownie Wise in Miami, Florida. Ms. Wise and her mother had pioneered the idea of Patio Parties, which quickly caught on and became the now-famous Tupperware parties.

As written as “The Great Commission” Matthew 28:16-20, We are all called to be disciples of Christ. To do that, we must first be able to understand the scriptures completely, what they truly mean and how to apply them to our lives. The Disciples Compass is here to help you do that by gaining a better understanding and meaning of the passages in The Bible.
Have you ever tried to study The Bible and been overwhelmed by all the different reading plans and schedules that you just cannot seem to adhere to? You are not alone! Disciples Compass is an easy to read and follow curriculum where you go at your own pace. Each week we will post only ONE CHAPTER to read for the week with questions to answer along the way to help you get a deeper understanding of The Bible in a deeper way.
You may use any Bible translation you feel comfortable with. The reading assignment will be posted every week as well as your questions. You can either copy/paste the questions in your own document to print out, or you may post your answers in the comments so we can have a group discussion! (It would be nice to share your answers, because we can learn even more from other perspectives – but if you are not comfortable with that than feel free to answer them on your own!)
We hope you will enjoy this Bible Study group. We want everyone to know and understand the word of God. It is only through knowing Gods word that we can find true peace and encouragement during these to tumultuous times we live in. We need hope and guidance now more than ever.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:
We MAY be posting a survey asking you if you would like to have a weekly ZOOM meeting to discuss that week's study. Think about it! It could be a profound way to learn and fellowship together! You will be asked two things: 1) Would you like a weekly Zoom meeting and 2) Which day would be easiest for you to join in? The decision and any links will be posted after the survey is completed.
RULES:
1. Read the weekly assignment and answer the questions associated with the reading either on your own or post your answers in the comments.
2. You may post a nice uplifting graphic. Please make sure the picture coincides with the chapter we are currently reading.
3. No bullying, or rude comments allowed. YOU WILL BE BLOCKED AND REMOVED FROM THE GROUP.
4. No political comments or opinions whatsoever.
5. Feel free to post questions to the group about the current assignment. But please REMEMBER TO BE KIND in your responses.
6. No selling or advertising of goods or services allowed within the group without prior permission of the administrators.
