We have some big news to share!
Greg and I have been asked to lead Sunday services at Eastgate Church in Rome City, Indiana. This is something we’ve known in our hearts for a long time that Greg would step into pastoring one day. Over the years, he’s had opportunities to preach and lead in different places while we were praying, waiting, and trusting God’s timing.
We want to be obedient to His Word and His timing above all else. Recently, a dream was given to us that felt like clear confirmation God has opened the door, and it’s time to step into this calling.
I am so incredibly proud of my husband and the journey he has walked over the past six years. Watching him stand and preach, doing what the Lord has called him to do, truly melts my heart. This is what he was made for.
Greg is a very Spirit-led man, and the messages God gives him are always right on point for the people he is speaking to. Time and time again, we’ve seen how God uses him to speak exactly what needs to be heard in that moment.
Right now, it’s a small building with a small congregation but we know that when you surrender and let God lead, His plans are always bigger than we can imagine.
Looking back, I remember when God spoke to me at the last church we attended: “Don’t get comfortable.” At the time, I didn’t fully understand I thought maybe it just meant we would love it so much we wouldn’t want to leave when God needed us to. But now I see clearly. God was already preparing this path, and we needed to be ready to move when He said “go.”
Many of you know and some may not agree but we believe we’ve been on an assignment from God. Along the way, we’ve had to deliver hard messages, walk away from places and people we cared about, and stretch beyond what was comfortable. But it has all been for the goodness and the glory of Jesus.
As we step into this new season, we are starting small. I would love to see the church grow however God desires. We are already praying for the right people to come alongside us especially someone to help teach the little ones, and eventually maybe even a youth leader. In time, we also hope to begin Bible studies.
With Greg starting his new trucking job with Kingdom Movement LLC and now stepping into this role as a pastor, we don’t know every detail of what God has planned but we trust that He does. The dream reminded us of that. He already has it all mapped out, just like He always has.
We’re simply choosing to walk through the door in faith.
