As Mary Magdalene and her companions mournfully approached the Garden Tomb, two angels appeared to them and shared the clarion call of all Christianity:

"Why seek ye the living among the dead?"

"He is not here, but is risen" (Luke 24:5-6).

This Easter season we also joyfully testify of this same eternal truth—Jesus Christ is risen. He lives!

The Savior of the world was crucified and, on the third day, rose from the dead, "the firstfruits of them that slept" (1 Corinthians 15:20). His Resurrection allows all to be resurrected, and through His grace, we can find peace "which passeth all understanding" (Philippians 4:7) and "be perfected in him" (Moroni 10:32).

We invite each of you during this Easter season to "seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written" (Ether 12:41). As you do so, we testify that your Easter celebrations can strengthen your own faith and testimony that "death is conquered; man is free. Christ has won the victory" ("He Is Risen!" Hymns, no. 199).

From Christmas to Easter, we invite you to Remember Him—not only in our holiday traditions, but in daily discipleship, personal devotion, service, gratitude, and love. Christmas and Easter are connected, and we invite you to intentionally remember Him throughout the coming months. Our hope is that this inspires each of us to let His light stay alive in our lives long after the tree is taken down. Because He was born… and because He lives… we can live with hope, with purpose, and with joy—every day.

Remember Him - a United States Central Area video featuring individual expressions of how each will remember Jesus Christ from Christmas to Easter and all year long.

On January 14, members of the The Church of Jesus Christ in Greater Kansas City involved in community outreach from around the state of Missouri attended the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with friends of other faiths and various community organizations. They also had the chance to share the outcome of the Giving Machine Kansas City initiative and JustServe efforts with state leaders.

Today, we honor the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust. Let us not forget that we each have the power, and the responsibility, to confront antisemitism and hatred in all its forms. It is up to us to ensure there is no place for hate or bigotry in Kansas.

Congratulations to our friends at Pawsperity!

On Tuesday, Pawsperity was invited to Jefferson City as guests for Governor Kehoe’s State of the State Address. In his speech, Governor Kehoe showed support for Pawsperity’s transformative work and recognized our organization as a model for ending generational poverty in Missouri. We were honored to be recognized by the state, and hope to impact the lives of even more Missourians in the future!
