What if the hard part is doing exactly what itās supposed to?
I think about Dollyās kind of wisdom at times on my early morning walks. Every bitter thing really can become sweet, when you say yes to the journey instead of just surviving it.
Dolly knew that better than most. A difficult childhood, decades of being underestimated, and she still spent her life turning what sheād lived through into songs, into generosity, into the Imagination Library, millions of children with books in their hands from birth. Thatās a woman who let the hard things do their work.
āLet us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.ā Galatians 6:9
