This is my Swami, Dhruva Narasimha, on a recent visit to India. Here he is seen here reverently greeting an ancient images of Bhagwan Narasimha.

The form is the Vigraha (object of devotion) is called Shanti Narasimha. Shanti translates something something like “peaceful“.

Most people know Narasimha from his less peaceful representations! He is a very powerful God.

(I really love making these images 3-D… I’m hoping one day to visit in the year with my teacher… But this will have to suffice for now!)

“HOUSE OF NARASIMHA”!?!?
Yes — that is what my Swami (Teacher) cause my home.… I think he’s changing the name in his thinking to: “HOME OF NARASIMHA”.
This is because I have so welcomed Bhagwan Narasimha to this place.
This house is now our home.

Santana Dharma (“Ancient Tradition”) is an extremely ancient religion, connected through ancient linguistic cultures to that of the Greek and Roman religions, ancient Hittite religion, Northern European Forn Sidr, Celtic traditions… And many others.

It is a religious practice that sometimes seems impenetrable, principally for linguistic and cultural reason.

I probably speak more Sanskrit than I do Hindi! but I attend several of the “Hindu“ Temples here in the Kansas City area, on regular occasions.

Once people in these temples realize that your reason for being there is benevolent, or even educational, they will usually open their arms and embrace you.

The key is to be patient and to not make assumptions. If you’re interested in the tradition study yet… Wikipedia is a great place to start — Believe it or not.

I am and my European religious group volunteered at food service at the local temple… They were delighted to include us and it was an experience in which we were both very moved.
