On this Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, Sr. Charbel reflects on the joy that our call to union with God is secure. May her reflection remind us of this truth and assurance and may it invite us to deeper relationship with God in prayer. "Despite wounds, traumas, hurts, broken pasts, and painful histories, this Truth stands firm: we were made for the Trinity, and we are called to share in His divine life."

I oftentimes wonder, especially when life gets hard and I come face to face with my weaknesses and seemingly insurmountable imperfections…I often wonder, what are we still doing here, wandering on this planet, like our forefathers in Exodus? Abba, what is taking so long and when are we going home?

Sr. Maria-Vianney and Sr. Catherine attended the Ladies’ Tea retreat at Divine Mercy Parish in South Milwaukee. The theme was “God is Within Her: She Will Not Fall.” After an ice-breaker, Sr. Maria-Vianney presented a reflection that included questions for small-group or personal reflection afterwards. Tea and a tea lunch were served. After a game of Saint Bingo and a craft-making session, the Ladies processed to the outdoor statue of Our Lady while singing, and they presented their hand-made tissue paper flowers to her. The beautiful tea retreat day concluded with the May Crowning!

Sr. Elizabeth reflects on Pentecost: "While most of us may never experience speaking in tongues as the apostles did, the same Holy Spirit continues to work within the Church and within each of us today. The Spirit still enables us to proclaim the Gospel, not necessarily through miraculous speech, but through lives of faith, charity, joy, and witness. Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, every defense of truth, and every faithful “yes” to God becomes a way the Holy Spirit speaks through us to the world. Often, the most powerful proclamation of the Gospel comes not through eloquent words, but through the quiet witness of a life transformed by grace."

Pentecost is often associated with dramatic signs and wonders: a mighty wind, tongues of fire, and the apostles suddenly speaking in different languages. In the first reading from the Acts of the Apostles, we hear that “they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tong...

We have just celebrated Ascension Sunday and we are preparing for the coming of the Holy Spirit in Pentecost! Let us continue to celebrate Easter and Christ’s total victory over death, reconciling us to God! Sr. Maria Vianney sings the Easter Sequence to remind us that we are an Easter people! And alleluia is our song, as our beloved JP II famously pronounced. Christ is King! And we are His people; the sheep of his flock!

Happy Sunday!!! The Lord is risen, Alleluia!

Sister Charbel was just recently in Canada promoting vocations. She briefly reflects on her experience of visiting several high schools there and speaking to the students, reminding them that they are eternally loved by the Father who has great plans for them. May her reflection be a reminder to all of us of God's great love for us.

"I told the students that God wants to be found by them, and is eager to have a relationship with them. Our Father in Heaven is longing for this communion with his children, with each and every one of us. Jesus died and gave his life for the sake of such relationship, and it doesn’t matter if you’re a believer or an atheist—God is longing for you."

Last week, I had the privilege of traveling to Calgary, Canada to promote vocations and visit my sisters who are missioned there. As vocation director and promoter for my province, I’ve had the blessing of visiting Calgary annually for the last several years to speak to young hearts preparing for ...
