Another Sunday in the books at The Sanctuary ✨

There’s something life-giving about being together in person week after week. Seeing familiar faces. Meeting new ones. Singing, laughing, catching up, and sharing the same space for a little while.

Yesterday also marked the kickoff of Tullian’s new series, Fragments of Freedom—exploring the unexpected places where freedom shows up in our lives.

We started with the cracks in the masks we wear:

“Grace has a way of slowly unmasking you. The more grace grips you, the more freedom begins to flourish. And as freedom grows, the masks start to crack. They may never disappear completely in this life. But they begin to break apart. The fractures widen.”

Grateful for everyone who spent their Sunday morning with us. ❤️

We’re back at it next Sunday at 10:30am.

See you then 🙌🏻

The Fragments of Freedom series is more about the experience of freedom than it is about the definition of it. Freedom is easy to define. It’s harder to experience.

How does freedom actually feel in the contours of everyday life?

These questions are designed to uncover the areas in our lives where freedom has not yet broken in. There are no right or wrong answers. There is, however, an opportunity for honest reflection.

This Sunday we begin a brand new series: FRAGMENTS OF FREEDOM.

In a lot of religious circles, we spend so much time defining what freedom is and isn’t that we rarely actually feel free.

So rather than simply defining freedom, we’re going to look for it—in songs, movies, conversations, losses, laughter, and all the unexpected places where something inside us finally lets go.

See you Sunday. 🤙🏼

As a community, we sing together. We listen together. We learn together.

But we also hold those who are tired, make room for those who are hurting, and laugh with those who need a reason to smile. We exist to remind each other that none of us has to do life alone.

The Sanctuary is not a place where people come to prove they have it all together. It’s a place where we can show up exactly as we are—messy, hopeful, hurting, healing, questioning, believing, exhausted, alive.

No need to pretend in order to belong.

Just people and grace, with room for all the highs and lows of being human.

Another Sunday in the books at The Sanctuary. ❤️

Huge thanks to Byron for filling in and reminding us what kind of place we want this to be:

“A place where there is no need to become something you have not yet become. A place where who you truly are as a person is who people want to know. A place where what’s true about the worst of us is true of all of us—to varying degrees. Imagine how this creates a corporate humility and gentleness toward each other.”

That’s The Sanctuary. No pressure to become someone you’re not. Just broken people learning to be honest about who we are and gentle with one another.

And we’re back at it next Sunday at 10:30am! Tullian kicks off a brand-new series, “Fragments of Freedom”, exploring the unexpected places where freedom finds us. We can’t wait. 🙌🏻

And finally, happy 10th anniversary to Tullian and Stacie! ❤️ Ten years of life, love, laughter, scars, and grace. Congratulations, you two! And thank you for leading us all. We love you!

See you Sunday.
