We are a new Lutheran mission church in Joplin, Missouri.

The Church is filled with people who God called out of
his boundless mercy. Nothing else could explain the choices for believers that God made! He calls such sinful and weak men and women to trust in him.

Only mercy can explain the men he chose in this Sunday’s lessons: a despised tax collector, an exiled killer, a persecutor of Christians. How poignant these lessons are, when we remember that each lesson was penned by the unworthy minister called into service by God’s boundless mercy!

Come join us in worship this Sunday.

We believe in the Triune God. The doctrine of the
Trinity is central to our salvation. The Triune God is our Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier.
This Sunday we celebrate the great mystery that our God is 3 but 1! What an awesome God we have who, provides, loves and strengthens us. We worship him, once again this Sunday!

Family Dinner & Bible Study

Looking for a simple midweek rhythm this summer? Add Family Dinner & Bible Study to your schedule and join us Wednesday the 27th at 5:30 PM for an evening of food, fellowship, and time in God’s Word.

This week’s potluck theme is meat & salads — bring a dish to share if you’d like!

After dinner, kids will enjoy a Bible story, craft, and playtime while adults gather nearby for a pastor-led Bible study as we begin our study of Exodus.

Come as you are, take a break from the busyness of the week. We’d love to have you with us!

Memorial Day gives us time to remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country. We thank God for those who worked to protect and preserve peace and freedom for others.

As Christians, we also remember that our greatest hope is not found in this world, but in Christ Jesus, who has defeated death and promises eternal life to all who trust in Him. We pray for comfort for grieving families and give thanks that in Christ, death is not the end.

On the fiftieth day after the resurrection of Jesus, God
sent the promised Counselor (the Holy Spirit) on the day we call “Pentecost” (Greek for “fifty”). This day marked the birthday of the New Testament Church and celebrates the harvest of souls won by Jesus and gathered by his servants empowered by his Spirit.

Pentecost is the third great festival of the Church and has been commemorated since at least 217 A.D. The Church dresses in red to remind us of the tongues of fire that marked the Spirit’s gift and the blood of the martyrs which was the seed of the Church. This day culminates the Season of Easter when our risen Lord now empowers his people to be witnesses of the resurrection for the world.
