ISC 2026 Adventures: Day 8 (The Final Chapter) ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ

After finally arriving at the hotel sometime after 1:00 AM, Day 8 began at a pace best described as "powered by determination and hotel coffee." โ˜•๐Ÿ˜ด

The morning featured a slow start as various members of the team emerged from their rooms at different times, some making a heroic last-minute dash to breakfast just before the hotel closed it down. Once everyone was awake, packed, and reasonably functioning, we loaded up and hit the road shortly after 11:30 AM.

The original plan involved traveling through some rather twisty mountain roads. However, after a passionate discussion from those who preferred not to spend hours navigating winding curves, the GPS was adjusted to take us through Atlanta instead. As we watched our ETA creep later and later thanks to traffic concerns, a third option appeared: a route that avoided both the worst mountain roads and Atlanta traffic. Victory! Or so we thought. ๐Ÿ˜…

While the roads were smoother, this new route came with a surprise challenge: finding places to stop. Gas stations, restaurants, and restrooms became rare treasures hidden across the countryside. Hunger levels steadily increased until we finally struck gold at an Arby's around 3:30 PM. Never has curly fries looked so victorious. ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ†

With full stomachs and renewed energy, we completed the final leg of our journey and rolled safely into home a little before 6:00 PM.

And just like that, ISC 2026 is officially in the books.

We return home with incredible memories, new friendships, valuable experiences, several international awards, plenty of inside jokes, and most importantly, a deeper appreciation for what God has done throughout this trip. Many decisions were made, lessons were learned, and lives were impacted in ways we'll continue to discover in the days ahead.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, encouraged, supported, donated, followed our updates, and cheered us on throughout this adventure. Your support made this trip possible, and we are incredibly grateful. โค๏ธ

Now that we're home, be sure to find one of us and ask about ISC. We have far more stories than could ever fit into a Facebook post... and some of them get funnier every time they're told. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿนโšฝ๐ŸŽค

Until next time, thank you for following along on our ISC 2026 Adventures! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿš๐Ÿ“–โœจ

๐ŸŒŸ ISC 2026 Adventures: Day 7 ๐ŸŒŸ

What a day! The final official day of ISC 2026 was packed with excitement, celebration, and just a tiny bit of chaos. ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

We started the morning by getting everything packed up, moved out of the dorms, and loaded into the vehicles before heading to breakfast. With the end of convention in sight, everyone was focused on getting ready for the big awards ceremony.

Of course, no great adventure is complete without a plot twist! Before awards, we experienced a full-blown shoe emergency. This required unpacking approximately half a van, conducting a search-and-rescue mission, and successfully recovering a pair of shoes that were still in one piece. Crisis averted. โœ…๐Ÿ‘ž

Then it was time for awards!

๐Ÿ† Our four students earned an incredible 14 International placements this year! We could not be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance they have shown throughout the year and during competition week. Watching them walk across that stage was a tremendous blessing and a wonderful way to wrap up ISC 2026.

After awards, we grabbed a quick lunch at Sam's Club before beginning the long journey home.

๐Ÿš Leg one of the trip home included plenty of road miles, conversation, and a dinner stop where everyone faced the difficult culinary decision of... Subway or McDonald's. Some choices shape a lifetime. ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿฅช๐Ÿ˜‚

The day concluded with an overnight stop at the Red Roof Inn in Knoxville, giving everyone a chance to rest before tackling the final stretch home.

Today we're back on the road and making our way home! Keep an eye out for one final ISC 2026 update later this evening as we wrap up this incredible week of competition, friendships, lessons learned, memories made, and God's blessings every step of the way.

โค๏ธ Thank you to everyone who prayed, encouraged, supported, and helped make this trip possible. We can't wait to share the final chapter of our ISC 2026 adventure! ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ†โœจ

๐Ÿ†๐ŸŽ‰ INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CONVENTION 2026 RESULTS ARE IN! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ†

What an incredible week it has been! After months of preparation, practice, fundraising, late nights, early mornings, and more than a few frantic costume changes, our students stepped onto the international stage and represented our church, school, and community with excellence.

The competition was fierce, with students from across the world bringing their very best, and we could not be more proud of how our team performed!

๐Ÿ”ฅ FOUR students. FOURTEEN international placements. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

These rankings represent competing against some of the best students from around the world, and every placement was earned through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to honoring God with their talents.

A special congratulations to: ๐Ÿฅ‡ Hannah for earning a Top 10 finish in Poetry Writing with an outstanding 6th Place finish! ๐Ÿฅ‡ Nathan for bringing home TWO Top 5 finishes, including an amazing 4th Place in Traditional Instinctive Archery and 5th Place finishes in both Shot-Put and Unlimited Free Style Archery!

Beyond the awards, we watched these students grow in confidence, encourage one another, build friendships, and use their gifts for God's glory. Those memories and lessons will last far longer than any trophy or ribbon.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, donated, encouraged, and supported these students on their journey. You played a part in every arrow shot, every performance given, every event entered, and every accomplishment achieved.

๐Ÿ’™ We came home tired. ๐Ÿ’™ We came home blessed. ๐Ÿ’™ We came home proud.

Congratulations, Team ISC 2026! Your hard work paid off, and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate all that you accomplished! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ†๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿคก๐Ÿฅโœจ

๐ŸŒŸ ISC Adventures Day 6 ๐ŸŒŸ

Day 6 started bright and early as we headed to breakfast so Alice could make it to her Interpretation for the Deaf competition. Little did we know breakfast would turn into a plot twist worthy of its own event!

Somewhere between breakfast bites and competition time, Nathan and Hannah had a change of heart and decided they wanted to join Alice in Interpretation for the Deaf. What followed can only be described as organized chaos. ๐Ÿ˜†

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Mrs. Lemon rushed Alice to the competition. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Mrs. Cece sprinted Hannah back to the dorm to change into performance clothes. ๐Ÿƒ Nathan made a quick dash to get competition-ready himself. ๐Ÿ“‹ Pastor Curt, along with Dani and Lizzy serving as his trusty tech support team, made a run to Master Control to get all the paperwork completed.

Against the clock and with plenty of excitement, everyone made it in on time and all three students were able to compete! ๐ŸŽ‰

With competitions finally behind us, it was time to celebrate a successful week. We headed to Lake Michigan for some fun in the sun, enjoying the beautiful scenery and making memories together. ๐ŸŒŠโ˜€๏ธ

Lunch was enjoyed at one of our favorite fine dining establishments... Sam's Club Cafe. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Nothing says "student convention adventure" quite like pizza and hot dogs after a morning of competition excitement!

Back on campus, we picked up exhibits, did a little shopping at the ISC Store, and started the not-so-exciting process of packing up for the trip home.

Dinner and Rally followed, with a powerful message centered on serving God right where He places us, however He chooses to use us, whether in visible leadership roles or faithfully serving behind the scenes. It was a wonderful reminder that every role matters in God's work.

Of course, no day would be complete without one final Rally Reflection session at our newly adopted favorite spot, Captain Sundae. ๐Ÿฆโค๏ธ We shared laughs, memories, lessons learned, and reflected on an incredible week together.

Then it was back to the dorms for more packing, a little sleep, and plenty of anticipation.

๐Ÿ† Awards are in the morning, and we can't wait to see what God has in store!

๐ŸŒŸ ISC Day 5 Adventures: The Day of Rest... Until It Wasn't! ๐ŸŒŸ

Day 5 started a little differently than most.

We woke up and... well... slept in! ๐Ÿ˜ด

With nothing on the schedule until after lunch, the dorms enjoyed a rare slow morning. Mrs. Cece was the lone early riser, making the brave journey to breakfast. Her mission? Coffee. โ˜• Mission accomplished.

The rest of the morning was spent hanging out in the dorms, relaxing, and getting in some Deaf Interpretation practice. After several busy days, the slower pace was exactly what everyone needed.

Once lunch was over, the calm disappeared and it was time to get moving! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

โšฝ Hannah and Alice competed in Soccer Kick.

๐ŸฅŽ Nathan competed in Shot Put.

All three represented our group well and did a fantastic job!

While competitions were underway, the boys set off on a few adventures of their own. Their travels included archery-related stops, a visit to a fudge shop (for very important reasons, obviously ๐Ÿซ), and tracking down a photo needed for Hannah's last-minute entry into Interpretation for the Deaf.

Meanwhile, the girls headed back to the dorms for more signing practice and a little extra rest before the evening activities.

Dinner featured a crowd favorite: Walking Tacos! ๐ŸŒฎโค๏ธ

The evening began with Pre-Rally, where Nathan received the special Mr. Howard Ball Award! Congratulations, Nathan! ๐ŸŽ‰

From there, we headed into Rally where we were blessed by command performances featuring singing, instrumental music, and a one-act play. The message challenged us not to wait until someday to serve God, but to put into action what we know is right today. We were reminded that our youth is a valuable time to serve the Lord because tomorrow is never guaranteed.

To wrap up the night, our group made the traditional pilgrimage to Captain Sundae ๐Ÿฆ for rally reflection, fellowship, laughter, and of course ice cream.

Then it was a quick race back to the dorms because after a day that started slowly and ended at full speed, everyone was ready for some much-needed sleep.

Day 5 gave us a little bit of everything: rest, competition, awards, worship, fellowship, fudge, and ice cream. Not a bad combination at all! โค๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ
