The Ladies Philoptochos Society Board members, under the leadership of President Cathy Pizanias, enjoyed a wonderful end of the year luncheon at Veranda Restaurant.
It was a beautiful opportunity to gather in fellowship, reflect on the accomplishments and ministries of the past year, and celebrate the spirit of service, faith, and love that Philoptochos brings to our community.
We are grateful to Cathy and the entire Board for their dedication, work, and commitment to serving those in need while supporting the ministries of our Church. May God continue to bless them with health, strength, and many years of fruitful service. Καλό καλοκαίρι!

Our HOPE and JOY end of the year gathering at Francis Lewis Park in Whitestone was filled with fun, laughter, and wonderful fellowship!
Father Konstantinos offered a prayer and spoke to the children about the importance of keeping Christ at the center of their lives throughout the summer.
The children had a fantastic time playing on the playground, running through the sprinklers, and enjoying the beautiful weather together. It was a joyful afternoon as our young people celebrated another blessed year of faith, friendship, and growth in Christ.
A special thank you to Norma Stylianou for generously providing pizza and drinks for everyone.
May God bless our HOPE and JOY children and their families with a safe, joyful, and blessed summer!🙏☀️❤️✝️

Congratulations to our parish honorees, Nicole Katsorhis Rodriguez and Georgeta Spelios, who were recognized at the 4th Annual Archdiocesan District Servant Leadership Awards Banquet for their outstanding dedication, leadership, and faithful service to our Saint Demetrios Church and our youth.
His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America personally presented the awards, honoring their many years of commitment and efforts in supporting our youth athletic ministries and serving the Church as Parish Council members.

Today, on Youth Athletics Sunday, Father Konstantinos proudly recognized our Athletic Directors, Nicole Katsorhis Rodriguez and Georgeta Spelios, for their outstanding dedication, leadership, and countless hours of service to our youth athletic program.
He also congratulated our amazing young athletes and coaches for their hard work, commitment, perseverance, and exemplary sportsmanship throughout the year. Their dedication both on and off the field reflects the values of teamwork, respect, discipline, and Christian character that our program strives to cultivate.
We are grateful to all who make our athletic ministry such a meaningful part of our community. May God continue to bless our athletes, coaches, directors, and families with health, strength, and success in all they do!🏅🙏💙✝️
