Robert L. Nathan, 70, went home to the Lord on September 13th wrapped in the arms of his beloved wife Judy. He was born in Jacksonville on July 10, 1951 to Audrey Nathan McQuaid and Malcolm D. Nathan. He attended N. B. Forest HS and Florida State College of Jacksonville. Robert’s immediate family includes three siblings David L. Nathan Ocala, Florida, Kevin S. McQuaid, Jacksonville, sister Patrice Marves, her husband Wade, of Jacksonville, and his son Robert Lewis Nathan, Jr. of Jacksonville. He is survived by his wife Judith (Judy) Ryan Nathan, their daughter Kimberley Watson, her husband Tony, and their children Tony Jr., Ryan, and Charley, and their daughter Kasie Sanderson, and her children Precious, Catherine, Johannah, and Ivy.

Robert retired as a Production Supervisor after 37 successful years at Union Camp Chemical Division / IFF. He then held a position as a Security Officer with Allied Universal Security until his death. Robert always put others first. With a wealth of skills, Robert was always ready to help those in need. Robert lived his life in the service of those he loved as well as those he just met. His ability to fix just about anything, his willingness to talk to anyone, and his deep-seated love for his family endeared him to everyone. Character mattered most to Robert. Any person of character was his friend and any person lacking it was not. A Christian in works and faith, Robert’s always positive outlook testified to his innate ability to overcome adversity, which he did many times.

An avid Harley owner/rider, a lover of classic rock, and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he will be missed by the many who knew and loved him.

“We have this misunderstanding that if we bring up the word su***de, it’s going to plant that thought into somebody’s mind. Absolutely not so – that’s a myth. It’s actually a huge relief to many people to know that somebody will listen to you if you’re feeling that way and that they’re not afraid and you can actually say what it is that’s on your mind.”

Two and a half years ago, Kay Warren's son, Matthew, died by su***de at the age of 27 after struggling with severe depression since the young age of seven. Kay was kind enough to share her compelling story with our podcast listeners.

This is why I make hospital visits.
I've been called to visit one patient by their family, and sometimes the word is meant for someone else. I'll occasionally ask and keep anonymous the staff source, who had heard anyone looking for a minister, and I'll pop in, with permission. I will also pop into waiting rooms and let them know I'm available and willing to meet with anyone.

I once baptized two men in one shared room who later died, when I was called to visit someone else; their families reached out to me, telling me how they could tell they were at peace, and ready to meet Jesus; how some of the family received Jesus themselves, either at the same time or after their peaceful passing.

The baptism in Christ is a beautiful thing. You see those in great suffering that medicine and man cannot ease, and they seem to get through it easily knowing that soon they'll blink, and be in Heaven.

If you or someone you know needs this, needs Jesus, I'm his representative, one of many. I'm willing to go where no one else will, with strength, courage, and peace that I am fulfilling the Great Commission I dedicated the rest of my natural Christian Life to.

You may reach out to me several ways.
Sending a message on Facebook to either my personal or ministry pages, making an appointment on Facebook, emailing me, calling me directly, reaching out to the Church I attend, or having someone else reach out to me.

God will work out the details, even in this time of Social Distancing.

I will visit hospitals, Hospice and similar centers, homes, or in a neutral public place, whatever the intended desires.

God is not bound to laws of man. He will make a way for it to happen

[I am available not only for baptisms, but Bible study, counseling, company, etc. I do not have to come in a Christian capacity, for they will know I am Christian by my love. But I do specialize in Christian (Protestant) and Catholic ceremonies and rituals ]

Right now, lots of people are passing into Heaven's Gates, and we cannot come together to mourn nor celebrate their lives.
If you are struggling with the illness of a loved one who is about to take that journey, already has, or it is you, I can be there to walk you through it.

Just reach out, for yourself or someone else, even if they are not Christian
