Dear members of the Fœderatio Internationalis Una Voce.
A time of sorrow and struggles comes upon us; this is neither the first nor the last. But, let's not be afraid; we all know that we have chosen the narrow and difficult path because we are sure that the Traditional Mass will recover its place at the center of the Church when God wants it.
We live in a time when the Church is tested and we are used to fighting, we are old friends of the incomprehension, but in every moment of disappointment, the light and Hope we needed have come from the Mass.
All these years, we have been the last link in the chain of worldly powers. We have never had the power to impose burdens, restrictions, or outrageous requests on anybody. We can't force any priest or bishop to do anything. Even when the provisions of the Church recognized the rights of the faithful to access the holy treasure of the Traditional Mass, it was frequently obstructed and blocked. In other words, it is not a secret that we have been in the peripheral of the Church.
The Motu proprio Traditionis Custodes represents a new attempt to forbid access to the old Missal and unequivocally will restart a new confrontation within the Church. A confrontation that due to the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum of His Holiness Benedict VXI was slowly being overcome. Let's not forget that this battle is not caused only by practical or even political reasons, but clearly, there is a spiritual motivation behind it. Let's pray for the Holy Father and for all the Bishops to whom we due obedience, respect, and love.
We must ask ourselves why God allows humiliation and evil. I don't have the answer, but perhaps He wants us to persevere with more Faith and courage. Someday Christ will reign over the whole world, but the Church will suffer its way to the cross before that. Do we want to be spectators, or do we want to share our shoulders?
To face the new circumstances, we need to make visible the unity between us and with the Church, we are not the kind of rebels some want us to be. We'll work harder and speak louder about the reasons why we won't give up. We need to be prudent and lovely take care of our Mother the Church. We need to pray, persevere, speak, and do not lose Hope.
Now more than ever, for the humble people attached to the Traditional Mass that don't have a voice, for our children, for the next generations; let's remember and join the prayers of the Cristeros that gave their lives when were forbidden to attend their Mass. Difficult days are coming, let's prepare our hearts for them.
¡Viva Cristo Rey!
