A Simple Way to Examine Our Lives

Jesus gives us a simple and powerful measure for every thought, word, and action:

“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.” (Matthew 7:12)

At the end of the day, we can ask ourselves:

• Did I treat others the way I want to be treated?
• Did I speak with kindness and patience?
• Did I forgive as I hope to be forgiven?
• Did I show mercy, respect, and love?
• Did I help when I would have wanted help?

This “Golden Rule” is more than good advice, it is a path to holiness. When we place ourselves in another’s shoes and act with the love we hope to receive, we become more like Christ.

Lord, help me to see others through Your eyes and to treat them as I would want to be treated. Amen.

Happy Father’s Day!

Today we give thanks to God for all fathers, those who have lovingly guided, protected, sacrificed, and prayed for their families.

At Comunità Cenacolo, we are especially grateful for the fathers who never stopped believing in their children, even in the most difficult moments. Through their perseverance, prayers, and unconditional love, many sons and daughters have found their way home.

We also remember our Heavenly Father, whose mercy never fails and whose love restores all things.

May God bless all fathers, grandfathers, spiritual fathers, and those who have been fatherly examples to others. Through the intercession of Saint Joseph, may they be strengthened in faith, hope, and love.

✨In today’s reading, Elisha picks up Elijah’s mantle and receives a share in his mission. The mantle was more than a cloak, it was a sign of belonging, inheritance, and being sent forth in God’s service.

As Christians, we too seek to live under a mantle: the mantle of Our Blessed Mother. We turn to Mary not only for her protection, but also to learn from her humility, faith, and obedience to God’s will.

Each morning in Comunità Cenacolo, we entrust ourselves to Our Lady 💙 by renewing our consecration with the prayer of St. Louis de Montfort:

“I, a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands, O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before……”

Like Elisha receiving Elijah’s mantle, we place ourselves under Mary’s mantle each day, asking her to help us belong more completely to Jesus and to follow Him more faithfully. Through her maternal care, may we receive the grace to live with greater humility, faith, and obedience to God’s will.

O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; You yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. Today we honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a heart full of love, humility, purity, and trust in God. In Comunità Cenacolo, we turn to Our Mother each day, asking her to teach us how to welcome Jesus into our hearts.

“Mary, Mother of Jesus, please be a mother to me now. Help me to receive Jesus in the Bread of Life. Your Heart was so beautiful, so pure, so immaculate, so full of love and humility. Help me to receive Jesus in the Bread of Life and love Him as you love Him, and serve Him in the distressing disguise of the poor.”

May Mary lead us closer to Jesus in the Eucharist and teach us to love Him with the same faith and devotion that filled her Immaculate Heart.

❤️ Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus ❤️

“Learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart.” (Matthew 11:29)

Today we turn our gaze to the Heart of Jesus, a Heart burning with love, mercy, and compassion for every person. In a world that often encourages pride, self-reliance, and self-promotion, Christ invites us to the freedom that comes through humility, trust, and surrender.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus soften our hearts, heal our wounds, and teach us to love as He loves. May we seek true conversion, choosing forgiveness over resentment, mercy over judgment, and God’s will over our own.

Jesus, make our hearts like unto Thine, meek, humble, and filled with love.

Holding on to resentment is like carrying a burden that was never meant to be ours. For many who struggle with addiction, resentment becomes a trap, one that can lead us back to old ways of coping, seeking relief from pain instead of healing.

“When you see Our Lady, it is impossible to hate anyone because you become aware that she loves even the person who mistreats you. That person is her child as much as you are, and her love for all of her children is indescribable. I have never seen that kind of love on Earth.”

Our Lady reminds us that every person, even those who have wounded us, is loved by God. When we allow that truth to enter our hearts, healing can begin. Seeking true conversion means allowing God to transform our hearts, replacing resentment with mercy, bitterness with compassion, and turmoil with His peace.

Freedom from addiction and freedom from resentment go hand in hand. Both require surrender, trust, and the courage to let God do what we cannot do on our own. In seeking true conversion, we discover the peace that only Christ can give.

🙏 Mary, Queen of Peace, lead us to deeper conversion, teach us to forgive, and help us to live in the freedom and peace of your Son.
