On May 30, 2026, eleven women gathered to resurrect the Women's Ministry at Gateway to Heaven Christian Church, which is located in the North Shore community of Jacksonville, Florida. The iconic theme: "Women in Bloom: Rooted in Christ," sparked faith-based discussions led by Reverend Dr. Lynette Kohn, and 1st Lady Barbara Jones. Our first session centered primarily, on spiritual resilience. We intend to continue on this invigorating journey exploring the Word of God, as we touch upon other strategies for finding peace, persevering through life's hard seasons, and growing strong roots during hidden, quiet phases of life.

Won't you join us? You don't have to be physically located in Jacksonville, Florida! In fact, several of the ladies during our first session joined via ZOOM. So, technically, you can be anywhere that ZOOM is supported!

Gateway to Heaven Christian Church, led by two illustrious men of God, Reverend Dr. Carlton D. Jones and Reverend Dr. Walter H. Johnson, celebrated fourteen years of God’s faithfulness with a high-octane, spirit-filled worship service designed to ignite your faith! We were honored to feature the dynamic, prophetic preaching of Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr., Pastor Emeritus of The Bethel Church, who delivered a Word that stirred hearts and transformed lives. Joined by the anointed leadership of Pastor Michael McConnell, whose worship leading ushered in a vibrant atmosphere of praise, this anniversary service was an unforgettable encounter with the Holy Spirit! The Congregation lifted high the name of Jesus as we celebrated 14 years of grace! Afterwards, we dedicated a fellowship hall to the "Mother of the Church," in honor of the late Dorothy L. Gauldin.
