Good afternoon and welcome to the Front Porch
Today I ask you all to pray for those undergoing difficult decision’s and troubles in life. No mater what the situation may be we must take everything to our Father in Heaven in prayer
Scripture today
Matthew 28:16-20
Jesus Gives Instructions to the Disciples
16 The eleven disciples went to the mountain in Galilee where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they bowed down in worship, though some had doubts.
18 When Jesus came near, he spoke to them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach them to do everything I have commanded you.
“And remember that I am always with you until the end of time.”
When Jesus sent His disciples into the world, He didn’t promise them an easy road. He promised them something far greater—His presence. In Gospel of Matthew 28:20, Jesus said, “I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” The word translated “always” literally means “all the days.” That means every single day—ordinary days, hard days, joyful days, and everything in between.
Jesus didn’t just promise to be with us in the big spiritual moments or the victories of life. He promised to be with us all the days—when the sun is shining and when storm clouds roll in. He is present on days of joy and on days of sorrow, on days of health and on days of sickness, on days of success and even on days when we feel like we’ve failed. Whatever today holds, our Lord walks beside us, strengthening us, loving us, and filling us with faith, hope, and love.
This is the quiet confidence we as believers carry through life. Our circumstances may change from hour to hour, but the presence of Christ does not. When fear rises, when stress presses in, or when discouragement whispers in our ears, we can pause and remember: the Lord is here. Just as He assured Paul the Apostle in Acts of the Apostles chapter 18 verse 10,
“I am with you.”
One way we learn to live in that promise is by practicing God’s presence. In the middle of busy or difficult moments, we stop and remind ourselves that the Lord is near. When we do, our fears begin to shrink, our burdens feel lighter, and peace quietly settles into our hearts.
So whatever this day brings—whether joy or trouble, clarity or uncertainty—remember this simple truth: you do not walk through it alone. The One who promised to be with us all the days is walking beside you even now. May we learn to see Him who is invisible and recognize His presence everywhere we go.
May our Father in Heaven be over you to watch over and protect you
May he be beneath you to carry you in times of despair
May he walk ahead of you to lead you and behind you to push and encourage you
May he walk beside you to befriend you and live within you to inspire you
May Gods Peace be with you
