Good afternoon and welcome to the Front Porch

Today I ask you all to pray for those undergoing difficult decision’s and troubles in life. No mater what the situation may be we must take everything to our Father in Heaven in prayer

Scripture today
Matthew 28:16-20

Jesus Gives Instructions to the Disciples

16 The eleven disciples went to the mountain in Galilee where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they bowed down in worship, though some had doubts.

18 When Jesus came near, he spoke to them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach them to do everything I have commanded you.

“And remember that I am always with you until the end of time.”

When Jesus sent His disciples into the world, He didn’t promise them an easy road. He promised them something far greater—His presence. In Gospel of Matthew 28:20, Jesus said, “I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” The word translated “always” literally means “all the days.” That means every single day—ordinary days, hard days, joyful days, and everything in between.

Jesus didn’t just promise to be with us in the big spiritual moments or the victories of life. He promised to be with us all the days—when the sun is shining and when storm clouds roll in. He is present on days of joy and on days of sorrow, on days of health and on days of sickness, on days of success and even on days when we feel like we’ve failed. Whatever today holds, our Lord walks beside us, strengthening us, loving us, and filling us with faith, hope, and love.

This is the quiet confidence we as believers carry through life. Our circumstances may change from hour to hour, but the presence of Christ does not. When fear rises, when stress presses in, or when discouragement whispers in our ears, we can pause and remember: the Lord is here. Just as He assured Paul the Apostle in Acts of the Apostles chapter 18 verse 10,
“I am with you.”

One way we learn to live in that promise is by practicing God’s presence. In the middle of busy or difficult moments, we stop and remind ourselves that the Lord is near. When we do, our fears begin to shrink, our burdens feel lighter, and peace quietly settles into our hearts.

So whatever this day brings—whether joy or trouble, clarity or uncertainty—remember this simple truth: you do not walk through it alone. The One who promised to be with us all the days is walking beside you even now. May we learn to see Him who is invisible and recognize His presence everywhere we go.

May our Father in Heaven be over you to watch over and protect you
May he be beneath you to carry you in times of despair
May he walk ahead of you to lead you and behind you to push and encourage you
May he walk beside you to befriend you and live within you to inspire you

May Gods Peace be with you

Good Morning and welcome to
The Front Porch

When facing the big waves you can choose to get knocked down or learn to surf.
The Apostle Paul writes;
“I begged the Lord three times to take it away from me. But he told me: “My kindness[a] is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I will brag even more about my weaknesses in order that Christ’s power will live in me.”
2 Corinthians 12:8-9

What do we do when we can’t change an unchangeable circumstance? What do we do when we can’t control something that hurts deeply in our lives?
Well I throw myself on the sustaining grace of God.

You might ask how do we get the kind of grace to keep going in spite of temptations, trials, tension, tiredness, and troubles?
Well we can turn to scripture and find some examples like these:

Sometimes we must cry out for God’s help.
When we pretend to be self-sufficient, we create a gap in God’s power in our lives. We need to admit that we have inadequacies, and say, “God, I can’t handle this!”
God shows us even more kindness Scripture says,
“God opposes arrogant people,
but he is kind to humble people.”
So place yourselves under God’s authority. Resist the devil, and he will run away from you. Come close to God, and he will come close to you. Clean up your lives, you sinners, and clear your minds, you doubters.
We don’t fill our lives with Gods word anymore, we put up with the nasty comments and the bickering between siblings and parents,we live in this place that Satan takes pride in, we want others to do and think like we do yet we can’t help them till we remove the log from our own eye. We pass judgement on others and tell them their wrongs and how they should be,
Jesus tells us in the book of John
When they persisted in asking him questions, he straightened up and said, “The person who is sinless should be the first to throw a stone at her.”
John 8:7
I can not judge or pass punishment on someone else when I have sin in my life, so,can you?
We must fill our minds with God’s Word. Let God’s Word comfort, strengthen, fill, soothe, and energize us all to keep going. Get into it every single day of our lives.
I am close to death.
Give me a new life as you promised.
Psalms 119:25
If the solution were to look within ourselves, we would already be changed. We need to look to God! He’s the only one with sustaining strength.
Accept support from God’s people. The Bible says by helping each other with our troubles, we obey the law of Christ, which is, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” God never meant for you to go through life on our own. Our weaknesses help us realize how much we need each other. We need to accept support from God’s people.
Hold on to God’s promises. There are many promises in the Bible waiting to be claimed. Here’s one of them look at Isaiah:
29 He gives strength to those who grow tired
and increases the strength of those who are weak.
30 Even young people grow tired and become weary,
and young men will stumble and fall.
31 Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the Lord
will be renewed.
They will soar on wings like eagles.
They will run and won’t become weary.
They will walk and won’t grow tired.
Isaiah 40:29-31

We need to keep our hope in the Lord and our eyes focused on the hope of heaven, not just on the here and now.
The apostle Paul tells us :
I begged the Lord three times to take it away from me. But he told me: “My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I will brag even more about my weaknesses in order that Christ’s power will live in me.
2 Corinthians 12:8-9

When you’re going through a problem you can’t fix, don’t give up. Just look up!
