So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day]; Acts 3:19 AMP. When we repent, God promises not only to cleanse us of our sins but to

bring spiritual refreshment. Turning away from sin may at first seem painful because it is hard to break old habits and give up certain sins. As Hosea promised, “Oh, that we might know the LORD! He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring” (Hosea 6:3). Do you feel a need to be refreshed?
