Christ Community Church Mission Statement: To be followers of Christ in both Word and Deed. Mission Statement: TO BE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST IN BOTH WORD AND DEED

Today’s sermon, “A Father’s Grace,” came from Galatians 3:15-21. We were reminded that salvation is not earned through works or religious performance, but received through God’s grace by faith in Jesus Christ. The Law reveals our need, but only Christ can redeem and save. Because of the Father’s grace, we can live in freedom, assurance, and faith.

Today’s sermon, “Love Under Construction,” focused on 1 Corinthians 13:1–10 and Paul’s reminder to the church in Corinth that love is not optional in the life of a believer—it is foundational. In a city surrounded by corruption, division, pride, and spiritual confusion, Paul called the church to live righteously by building everything on the love of Christ. We looked at how spiritual gifts, knowledge, faith, and sacrifice mean nothing if they are not rooted in genuine love. True love is patient, kind, humble, selfless, enduring, and holy. Just like the Corinthian church, the church today must allow God to keep shaping and constructing our hearts so that we reflect Christ’s love to a hurting and broken world. Love is still under construction in us, but through Jesus, it is being made complete.

The journey continues tomorrow at 10:00 Am worship. However, we may need to stop for construction. Join us at Christ Community Church for the second service in the “Heaven or Bust” series. Many of us claim to followers of Christ, but are we willing to stop and make sure our love is like Christ’s?

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow! To God be the glory!

We will NOT be having our weekly prayer meeting this week, due to the vast majority being at Vacation Bible School. We, as always, encourage you to go into the secret place and pray to the Father, who hears what is said in secret (Matthew 6:6). We will be back at By The Hearth for our weekly prayer meetings next week, June 17.

Today we began our new series, “Heaven or Bust,” with the first message, “Romans: The Road Map.” As we opened the book of Romans, we looked at its importance as one of the clearest road maps of the Christian faith. Through Romans 3:23, we were reminded of humanity’s universal need for salvation, and through Romans 9:13, we saw the sovereign grace and calling of God. Romans shows us that the journey of faith begins with the reality of sin, but leads us to the hope, mercy, and glory found in Jesus Christ.
