The Salvation Army Ruth Lilly Women and Children's Center

The Salvation Army Ruth Lilly Women and Children's Center The WCC offers care coordination, emergency crisis assistance, and guidance to individuals. The Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Doing The Most Good: Motivated by the love of God and believing in the fundamental value of each individual, we are committed to meeting the basic needs of shelter and supportive services to women and families needing these services. The Salvation Army Center Ruth Lilly Women and Children’s Center provides a safe and nurturing place for individuals in need of services and support due to violence a

nd homelessness. Our 126 bed facility features rooms for both families and singles. Upon admission to the Center, the needs of the individual and his or her children are assessed by an Advocate and a Care Coordinator. Immediate medical, nutritional, and shelter needs are met. Safety and security measures allow individuals to focus on rebuilding their lives free of danger, continued abuse and the uncertainty of the streets.

The Salvation Army Indiana Division has received a $3,000,000 matching grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. through its Capital Project Initiative for Residential Youth Camps. The Salvation Army has launched the Transforming Lives Initiative to raise the $3,000,000 needed to receive the full matching grant.

The Movers for Moms campaign kicks off today and lasts the entire month. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Indianapolis's campaign is collecting items for women at The Salvation Army Ruth Lilly Women and Children's Center.
