Church camps are life changing!

🎉 We have some incredible news to share!

The Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church has been awarded a $19,657,500 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to invest in our residential youth camps across the state!

The grant will be distributed among four of our camps:

Camp Adventure: $2,410,500
Epworth Forest: $10,000,000
Camp Indicoso: $2,427,000
Camp Lakewood: $4,820,000

"This extraordinary investment in the lives of young people across Indiana will have a transformational impact for generations to come," said Bishop Tracy S. Malone.

This gift, combined with a previous $6.5 million Lilly Endowment grant awarded in December 2025, represents a truly generational investment in the future of camp ministry in Indiana.

"We are so excited to receive this generational gift and are looking forward to the impact this will have on students in Indiana," said Nick Yarde, Director of Outdoor Ministries.
