금일 4월 2일 화요일, 인디애나폴리스 다운타운에 위치한 스테이트 하우스에서 100여 명의 인디애나 하원의원과 30여 명의 상원의원이 참여한 입법회의장에서 인디애나폴리스 반기열 목사님이 대표로 기도를 하는 뜻 깊은 자리가 있었습니다. 인디애나 최연소 하원의원인 크리스 정의 주재로 만들어진 이 자리에는 인디애나 한인회 부회장 영희 Yedinak 이하 임원들과 인디코리아 그리고 반기열 목사님 내외가 참여하여 의미있는 시간을 가졌습니다. 크리스 정은 내년 이맘때 쯤에는 인디애나 한인회와 한인들의 존재를 각인 시킬 수 있는 Resolution 이 같은 자리에서 이루어 질 것을 약속하였습니다. 인디애나 한인여러분들의 목소리를 높일 수 있는 자리가 더 많이 만들어 지기를 기대합니다.

Thank you, State Representative Chris Chyung, for allowing Pastor GiYul Bahn of the Indianapolis Korean Baptist Church to offer the opening prayer in the House Chambers yesterday. It was a special moment not just for Paator Bahn, his wife and the church family, it was also a meaningful moment for the Korean American community in Indiana. I was glad to be in attendance with my husband Jim, and members of the the Korean American Association of Indiana.
