There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America
Join Northside Congregations for Housing (NCFH), part of the Greater Indianapolis Multifaith Alliance (GIMA), for a fall multi-faith book study of Brian Goldstone’s 2026 Pulitzer Prize–winning nonfiction, There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America.
Goldstone follows five Atlanta families navigating housing instability, exposing the systemic forces that push working people into a “shadow realm” without a regular place to sleep. Praised by the Pulitzer committee as “a feat of reportage, analysis and storytelling,” and named a Book of the Year by The New York Times and The Atlantic, this urgent account reveals how rising rents, stagnant wages, and weak tenant protections are turning working families into the new face of homelessness. Come read, reflect, and discuss how our community can respond.
