Proceeds support Douglas County Task Force (food bank) and Prison Ministry at Limon State Prison. Giving Tree - The men of Faith collect and deliver gifts to local children and families in need at Christmas. In previous years we provided Christmas gifts for over 100 elderly residents annually. More recently we have provided Christmas gifts to needy Douglas County youth and assisted their families with food expenses through Douglas County Task Force Sharing Santas. Service Projects - Over the years men of Faith have provide church facility improvements such as kitchen renovations and retaining walls. The men have assisted at risk families in the Castle Rock community including home repairs, clean up and financial help. In the past we have supported Habitat for Humanity build projects. Last Summer we assisted a needy family in Meadows with deck repairs and maintenance, interior repairs, as well as, fence and gate repairs. Prison Ministry - The men at Faith have financially supported and participated in our local jail ministry at the Robert Christensen Justice Center for over ten years. Also, for a decade we have provided financial support annually to chaplains at Limon State Prison. We are planning a visit to Chaplain Jerry Briggs in Limon on July 25th to experience first hand his men’s ministry in action behind bars. Prayer Vigils - The leadership of the Men’s Group at Faith Lutheran Church has organized and led three prayer vigils at Faith Lutheran over the years. We support prayer ministries for men and our congregation. We are looking for men to become prayer warriors. If interested in finding out more, please contact Stu Bailey. Men’s Retreats - We have had many men’s retreats over the years. We have gone on Spring fly-fishing retreats at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp. We have had inspiring get-aways in Deckers, CO and Morrison, CO. We are currently planning a powerful and exciting 2015 Fall Men’s Retreat. Our theme is Warriors for Christ. Evangelism - We support international evangelists. This year we pledged financial support for Team Geiger, a local evangelist team working in Africa to provide affordable and safe lighting systems in rural homes.
